C-Span 3, anybody get this channel?
Tomorrow it will show an old speech that I would very much like a copy of. 7:59 AM, Thursday Jan 11, 2007

Speech
Kerry Campaign Speech
New York University
New York, New York (United States)
ID: 183581 - 09/20/2004 - 0:50 - $29.95

Kerry, John F. U.S. Senator, D-MA

Senator Kerry spoke to supporters and others at New York University about his foreign policy agenda. In his remarks he sharply criticized the Bush administration’s policies in Iraq, charged that the president had misled the American people about war, and mishandled military operations since the invasion of Iraq. He also outlined his plans to move forward on Iraq, fight international terrorism, and build international coalitions to rebuild the country. He also called on President Bush to hold a summit on the future of Iraq while attending the opening of the United Nations General Assembly.

1. Sadly, no. I would like a copy, too,. Who's the angel who
a) has the channel and
b) can record it and burn it on a DVD

I am in the process of figuring out my DVD burner and can dangle the Dissent speech (for which I owe Island Blue a copy -- haven't forgotten about that) in exchange in beautiful digital format.

2. Kerry up now
Edited on Wed Jan-10-07 11:10 AM by karynnj
Long and short term interests. He is saying the current policy is making things worst. Asks where you can go.

More troops: Abizaid (who is leaving) said on Dec 15 that every Divisional commander said that no when asked if more troops help.

Where are we in 6 months.
O'Hanlon says that we always need more troops. Kerry asked if 20,000 could help - O'Hanlon kind of admitted it and agreed with Kerry that the political piece is not there. Marr also has problem with surge

He is amazing - He just asked what happens when our troops go after the militias. Scary question

Left them with the question of what we do if it fails.

He was far far more intense and better than Biden, who asked mostly about his multi-state plan.

4. True, that's what Biden focused on
and the answers were not too encouraging. But at least he kept it short.

The electronics in our house are confusing for me. I like to keep it simple, hubby likes many buttons and knobs.

Oh, how did the work meeting go today?

That sucks big time. Happened to me but there was a long run up to it so nobody was surprised.

July of 2001. So, ahm, I am not surprised at all. This came up every year. You can only play Russian Roulette for so long before the loaded chamber comes up.

17. Captured the video and may have TIVO'd
I managed to capture the video on my computer -- you can download it here: http://www-personal.umich.edu/~kvh/JK%20New%20York%20Speech%201%20Jan%2011.rm

I also set my friend's TIVO (tried to get on to mention that I was doing that, but the group was down), so I *think* I have it in higher quality on the TIVO. Assuming it worked, I can make DVD's. Wisteria, I know you also offered to try to tape it -- did yours come out?
