Hillary's staff "treat us like dirt," says Ed Schultz
The pattern continues...

Convincing Hillary Clinton and her arrogant handlers of that is a different battle in itself. We are known for connecting with the newsmakers as well as any talk show.

Many of you have requested hearing from Hillary on progressive talk especially The Ed Schultz Show. I want you to know our producer James Holm tirelessly works the contacts and has repeatedly tried to connect with Clinton's people.

Cutting to the chase, Hillary's people treat us like dirt. We are constantly disregarded, told things that aren't true, and given speculation an interview might happen someday.

Quite frankly, I'm sick of it. This morning I watched Hillary Clinton tell CNN she is accessible. What? To the TV cameras yes, to the base of loyal listeners on progressive talk radio, absolutely not!

Hillary's message to the party base:

"Go 'Cheney' yourself. I don't need you."

1. Interesting...

Ed gets like this when he feels he's being dissed. I would work hard not to get on his bad side - he's a true moderate, and I'd think the people who listen to his show are the ones she's counting on for their votes. Stupid move, IMHO. But I'd guess if she makes up he'll bury the hatchet faster than you can draw breath.

I've certainly heard him trash JK on his show, and then act completely sold when he's a guest. Ed's a weird guy - HUGE ego, though.

2. A cry for attention. We will see if she comes calling. I get the impression Hillary doesn't
like having to cater to the media. I actually can't see her going on the show. Not without all questions being preapproved. I like some of her supports answers in DU-P, defending the blow-off.

3. She is making a mistake by ignoring people who want to talk with her.
Anytime she snubs someone it will get more play than say if Jk did it. Although, we know he wouldn't.
It leaves me with the impression that she thinks she is to important to lower herself for talk radio.

I have actually heard before that her office often ignores calls and never get back to people. The Dem Chairman in my area tried to contact her to do a speech and he complained he never got a call back after several attempts. And, this is a guy who enthusiastically supports the Clinton's. (at least in the past).
I think she and her handlers are so afraid of her saying something wrong, they are going to try and avoid having her say much at all. But, we all already know she really doesn't have much to say at any time.

4. She actually appears on Ed's show pretty regularly and does pretty well.
I like her a lot better on the radio than I do watching her in the Senate.

5. I am surprised. I never thought she would do that. Hum mm. I don't have access to Schultz.
And, I only listen when someone alerts me that kerry is on. So, thank you for information. It still remains to be seen if she will do it now that she has announced. And, if she is a frequent guest, it wouldn't hurt to leave word with her staff that she will be in touch shortly.

6. Many of the left don't like Schultz and see him as a centrist like Hillary - so -
by ginning up a controversy with Ed she can hope to appeal to the left to see her as someone other than the centrist Hillary.

7. Oh, how effective is this going to be, if she ultimately needs to reach out to the Mid West ?
Personally, I am not as interested in whether she is left or middle as much as her ability to lead this country forward. But, that is just me.
