5. Don't you think he found out earlier though? I just have the feeling
that he knew last week that not only was he killed but the circumstances of how. But I could be wrong. Do you really think the AP was how he found out?

4. I am sure the security at Davos is maximum.
Edited on Fri Jan-26-07 04:03 PM by Mass
They have several heads of states, cabinet members and elected members, and big business names of most of the major cities. They certainly do everything in their power to avoid any security problems.

One of the reasons Davos is chosen is that there is exactly one road that goes there, so it is extremely easy to control who is allowed to go or not, and they avoid the big protests they have at each WTO summit.

10. I looked at these photos and the first thing I thought was
"Damn, this man is too hot not to be president." Strange reaction I suppose, but that's the first thing that popped into my mind.

13. Tell it like it is, Senator.
I like this part:

"So we have a crisis of confidence in the Middle East — in the world, really. I've never seen our country as isolated, as much as a sort of international pariah for a number of reasons as it is today."

Kerry said the government needs to use diplomacy to improve national security.

"We need to do a better job of protecting our interests, because after all, that's what diplomacy is about," he said. "But you have to do it in a context of the reality, not your lens but the reality of those other cultures and histories."

Kerry criticized what he called the "unfortunate habit" of Americans to see the world "exclusively through an American lens."

True, but brutal honesty.

14. When I heard that quote
this morning on the radio I thought, "and that is exactly why he is not running for president - so he can say things like that, which are all too true, but won't win him any popularity contests."

Looking forward to many more such truths from him.
