Whoa.
I don't care for the spin being placed on this in the GD thread (already on Greatest) but you all might want to take a look at this.

http://ruralvotes.com/thefield/?p=115

Smith, blogging Bill Bradley’s Obama endorsement this morning, says “keep an eye out for Kerry, Kennedy, Gore.”

The Field has learned that the Obama campaign has at least one of those “big three” endorsements - yes, stay calm, I’ll tell you which in a moment if you haven’t figured it out already - fired up and ready to go, but apparently feels it doesn’t need to roll the big guns out in order to win New Hampshire.

The Iowa victory, in fact, provoked a traffic jam of national Democratic party leaders and politicians that have phoned in to jump on the Obama bandwagon. At this point there are so many piled up in the in-box that it’s a logistical nightmare to schedule the timing of the endorsements. Starting yesterday with Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle and today spinning Bradley’s three-point shot, the coalescing of a new Democratic coalition has begun to fall like droplets of Chinese water torture aimed at the morale of the Clinton organization.

More at the link...

Considering the source, I'd be surprised if it's wrong; but I'm also a bit surprised that he posted the info...unless it was time to.

2. Most of the kos comments are positive

Except for that ache way down deep, I'll be happy to hear of the Senator's endorsement of Obama. I have some problems with him, but overall I think he's the best of the three.

3. Not surprisingly, the comment on GD are divided between Edwards and Obama's supporters.
(I have not seen that many Clinton's supporters weighting the threads). Just wonder if this has some base or not, but it is good to see that Kerry's endorsement is welcome.

5. Yep, that's what's great - apparently JK's endorsement is sought after.

That's a good thing for Kerry supporters, even if they would have preferred a different endorsement. (And, it hasn't actually happened yet. This may all just be rumour.)

6. On reflection, I hope it isn't true
Even though I like Obama. I didn't expect JK to endorse before the nominee was decided.

But if he does endorse, that means he thinks there's a good reason to. And I trust JK's sense of public service that he is doing it for the right reasons.

If he does it. Only a rumour so far...

(btw I only posted this here because it was out in GD and I thought folks here ought to know)

Especially now that Dodd and Biden are out of it. IMO.

9. Kerry owes nothing to any of the candidates remaining in the race
not sure if he will endorse Obama. but in my view Obama has always been the only one if the top candidates i could see endorsing.

17. It's common sense
That JK will endorse Obama, I think for those who know him. The conventional wisdom is as we all know that he won't endorse Edwards and probably would not endorse HRC either. And Richardson is also a no go. Giordano is betting it will be before Mega Tuesday. I had also thought the same thing about both JK and Teddy endorsing. Mega Tuesday will impact MA, CA and raft of states and if... if Obama should falter in NH, it will hold more weight before Mega Tuesday.

Counter Punch isn't exactly Kerrycentric.

23. He did - but as Whometense pointed out he personally
was always pro-Kerry. She posted an incredible 2004 article of his - he did seem to really get Kerry.

From the background information, he was most interested in things like Contra drug story and still works on their modern day equivalents. I've alerted on many Counterpunch things (affecting many Democrats), but this guy seems ok. It may be that there are limited places where someone of his views can be published.

27. Interesting stuff...
Thanks for the link and background. I knew the name sounded familiar but when I Googled only found CounterPunch, etc. Couple that with being told the blog with "endorsement" thread had never been seen by source, it seemed a bit dubious, as I noted on the DD. Apparently JK is in New Bedford today, (as Mass posted) and seems happy to be sitting this one out for now.
