3. Is anyone going to protest?
I don't really have time to picket the Sh*tboat Veterans for Lies, or Zell from Hell, but someone ought to.

4. maybe if oh, say, 10,000 bloggers were to email them,
they'd think about putting the swiftboat hitsquad on their network.

We've got to watch John Kerry's back, Kerrycrats! This is a call to arms.

"Programmers,
I am a loyal C-spand watcher and have enjoyed many hours of your programming. I am dismayed that you are going to include coverage tonight of Zell Miller giving an award to the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth! These guys have been discredited over and over and have been nothing but damaging, not only to the Kerry/Edwards campaign, but to the cause of honest discourse in America. The fact that so many have given them the media attention they have is a disgrace to journalism in this country. I'm very much disappointed in Cspan for giving them this added amount of legitimacy. Thanks for you time,
XXXXXXXX"

edit: I'm going to post the info on the speech on GD/P too.

6. it wont matter since Cspan doesn't check for accuracy
they are mostly just about showing political events going on around the country and world.

cspan coverage of it doesn't have much affect anyways since most viewers are partisan types like us. it at least keeps us aware of what is going on with these people by showing us events directly and unedited.

7. well, I still think it's good to let them know what we think,
and that we are out here making judgements about what they show. The power of the internet is huge, because we can give instant feedback. One person can't have an impact, but the potential is great if we all work together. At some point in the process they must make choices between several things that they can show, and they need to know how some of us feel.
I don't know if DU is activist enough to respond (in GD they seem to be occupied with hooting about Gannon lately), but I'm giving them the chance to.

8. it's also good to recommend events that you want them to cover
Edited on Fri Feb-18-05 12:08 PM by JI7
one thing i wish i did during the campaign was ask that they showed clips of Kerry throughout his political career. they usually just played the tapes of his testimony to the senate foreign relations committee on the vietnam war when he returned from the war or that john o'neill debate.

it would have been nice if they had also shown some of the things throughout his political career. such as the iran contra ,vietnam pow mia investigations. or the debates with weld.

they are more likely to cover events recommended by many people rather than not show something because of complaints.
