Mothers Day has me thinking about more than flowers. What do we really want for the mothers of the world? I've put together this video with some thoughts about what we need to do to make sure that mothers (and all the rest of us) don't end up barely surviving in old age on just Social Security. My internet connection is very iffy right now.

She is a great blogger her first time out, even taking advice from someone suggesting she put in a transcript. Fantastic. And she was moved by Luftmensch's post. (I was, too.)

I was so moved by her diary and it seemed to come at the perfect time, considering what I had just been investigating (an assisted living situation for my mom.) Sometimes it seems that people with power and influence aren't aware of how messed-up the system is, and it's so heartwarming and inspiring that both THK and JK really are not only aware, but truly concerned and determined to do whatever it takes to change things.
