19. Thank you !
I'm still amazed with him. The back of his head is more "afro curly", and the front is still loosly curled. His Mom had a similar problem when she was young. She had a "blend of her dad's curly black hair, and my poker straight hair, but all mixed in together, unlike Aidans. It was an absolute "bitch" to comb and brush it! I remember her sitting at my feet for hours while she screamed, and I combed and braided. Do you think he looks like his Grandma? He does love the camera. He starts smiling the minute he sees it (the ham!)

9. Here's my nephew
Phoenix. He'll be 2 next month. He's all boy - non-stop motion. (I was lucky that he sat still for about 2 seconds when I was taking this photo.)

20. He has grown so much since his last pictures !!!
Edited on Fri Jun-27-08 12:09 AM by discerning christian
He's almost the same age as Aidan, but looks much older! How tall is he, and what does he weigh? Aidan is 36" tall, and weighs 42 lbs. I can't pick him up !!!! Thank God he's walking, or Grandma couldn't babysit!! He's still a very handsome little guy!!( referring to your "munchkin" )

23. He actually isn't quite as tall
as Aidan, and he only weighs about 30 lbs. Is Aidan talking yet? Phoenix is at the repeating what you say stage, although he does say quite a few words on his own. He's learning both English and Thai, but mainly says English words. (Which makes it easy for Aunt IB. ;)) I'm trying to teach him to say Obama - he learned the fist bump at daycare, so he's ready to campaign!

25. Funny that you asked that............
today, Aidan had his first session with a speech therapist. He says a few words on his own, but although he can make all of the sounds of each animal, and point them out, he can't say their names. It's funny, he has complete word comprehension when we speak to him, but is a "little man", of few words. He learned how to howl like a wolf the other day when his parents took him to a small zoo. He says Da Da. Ma Ma, baby, duck, cheese, HI! is his newest word. The Therapist seems to think that it's undeveloped muscles in his cheeks and jaws, but I'm doubtful. We'll see tho' and I'll keep you posted!! Oh, I almost forgot the most important word....Nana !!!

14. Thanks for all these great pics.
We do have an exceptionally well-turned out group of young'uns here.

I love these threads. It shows who people are connected to and reminds people of why we are so adamant about improving this country. We all have stakes in the future don't we?

17. THANK YOU TAY !
Tay to the rescue once again. Sorry It's taken so long to post, but I've been off line for a few days. I do appreciate you posting these for me. Didn't you get the Christmas one I sent? That was my favorite. My daughter says I need to take a computer course to learn how to do these things for myself !! She's right !! Doesn't it burn your ass when your kids are right about things "all of a sudden" ??? I am so enjoying this little boy. His cousins (twin boys) from my eldest daughter graduated from High School this past week. Quite an age difference between Aidan and them, but they are so alike!! Guess the next babies I get to hold and love on, will be Grt. Grands !!! Love ya for all you do, DC :loveya: :grouphug:

24. I do have the other pics
I just didn't want to put them all up at once.

It's going to be a long, hot summer and we are going to need pic threads. I saved a few pics for later. It's like saving some ice cream for dessert!

I love these pics. You are blessed with one adorable grandchild, btw.

26. Thank you sweetie!
I know all proud Grammas think that the "flesh of their flesh, and bone of their bone" are absolutely the greatest child ever born, as well they should, but I'll have to admit, this munchkin' is very special. His Mommy, as a baby charmed and turned heads everywhere we took her. Guess he's s chip off the ole' block,..... or he has his Grams great genes!!!
