"Soldier in famous photo never defeated 'demons' "

This is a follow-up and a more detailed account of the life and death of this soldier. I posted something a while back on him and how he tragically died. However, his sad death was only a small portion of what had happened to Joseph Dwyer when he returned from Iraq. The story is so very heart wrenching and tragic and if what the article says is accurate, Mr. Dwyer is not along in his suffering. There are many more returning soldiers with similar problems and it appears the VA may not know how to address the problems so they are just sending them on their way with pills.

I am bring this up here because I know that Senator Kerry has feels strongly about assisting fellow veterans and he advocates forcefully on their behalf. I was hoping that someone could make the senator aware of this story. At the very least the VA's treatments for PTSD patients should be reviewed.
