Al, had you chosen this man as your VP, you would be finishing your second term now.

Former vice president Al Gore and U.S. Sen. John Kerry held court on Washing Pond Road Tuesday before a rapt audience as they stumped for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, railed against his Republican opponent John McCain, and warned of the dangers of global warming.
...
Kerry, who introduced Gore during the event, had harsher words for McCain, calling his candidacy “dangerous” and saying he couldn’t be trusted.
“He promised America it would be a campaign of respect, of ideas, not insults, and the American people wanted a better campaign, and he gives you Paris Hilton and Britney Spears,” Kerry said of McCain’s most recent political ad. “If he can’t keep his word about the campaign, and he can’t keep his word about the issues that are really important to the American people, and he makes the wrong judgments about how to protect America, then his candidacy is, in fact, dangerous in terms of America’s security and you can’t trust it and you can’t trust him. That’s what this is about.”
Kerry said the election could also bring a slew of new Democratic senators to Capitol Hill, allowing the party to close in on the “magic number of 60” that would be enough to stop a Republican filibuster.
“If we win the presidency, we’re going to have the first moment of progressive legislating since Lyndon Johnson was president of the United States,” Kerry said.
