Really wonderful video of JK playing the guitar on his visit to Taunton

Noisy Democrat went to the Kerry on Your Corner event in Taunton and got some great footage of JK answering questions and talking to townspeople. She also filmed his visit to a local guitar/music shop. This is really charming and relaxed video of JK enjoying himself. He sits down and plays the guitar for a while and ND was able to record this interlude as well as his interaction with the store owner and staff and a very young music student who seemed very pleased to talk to him about her piano lessons.

3. More short clips are up now

They don't feature JK playing musical instruments :) but they have their own charms. We've been putting up more clips of JK touring local businesses in Massachusetts towns. I especially like the stops at Bicycle Alley and Elaine's T-Shirts. They're not getting front-paged, so you might miss them, but you can find them all in one of two ways -- right now, click on View More Short Clips, and the ones most recently uploaded will come up, which is this batch. Or (especially if they get buried under other clips later) you can always find them by searching for "KOYC" (which stands for Kerry On Your Corner) and "tour".

I just gotta add -- if anyone's wondering what it's like to follow JK around and videotape, it's loads of fun, but the ironic part is that I have to look into the little viewfinder almost every second. He moves so fast, to keep the shot centered -- or keep him in it at all -- is a challenge. If I take a moment to look directly up at him and think "Wow, there's John Kerry, right there!" -- guaranteed that's when he'll walk out of the frame. So if you want to know what he seems like in person? Uh, about 2 inches tall, in this little window... :) :)

5. I finally was able to view this, and it's just wonderful!

Thanks so much for posting this, and to ND for videoing it.

In case anyone was wondering, the first piece John Kerry played was "Music of the Night" from Phantom of the Opera.

I like the way small business is such a huge theme for Kerry's campaign. He does seem very drawn to small business owners not just on a political level, but a gut level. I think he views them as the backbone of the U.S. economy that they are. And that when it comes down to it, small business is about people.
