Vanessa Kerry is engaged?

I noticed that someone mentioned it in that thread in GD: Presidential about Meghan McCain, but I thought I'd respond in here, since that one is so long, LOL. If so, congrats to her! :) Not to pry, but does anyone know anything else about it, like any articles about it, etc? I bet her Dad is so excited for her! :applause:

1. I've seen a photo of her at a party, in a Boston Magazine who follows the Boston powerful,
and she was with a gentleman who was presented as her fiancé. That was at least one year ago.

fiance was with her on Nov 4 Kerry victory party, and at Ted Kennedy do at Harvard in December.
Don't personally know anything, but someone on DU mentioned several months ago that he was "his best friend".

Thanks for the info, guys, and for the video! They are such a lovely family. And that's a great pic of John and Teresa. What a beautiful couple they are. :)

I also loved the part where he said "I have the latest exit polls: Bush is exiting. Cheney is exiting.." haha. :D Sweeter words were never spoken!

14. OK, you got me to watch this again
Can someone help me decipher something THK said?
She was talking about how she didn't normally cry, but that she did on election day. . "out of fear, out of gratitude, then... ????????
I couldn't decipher the third thing from the video.
I was even there in the room, but don't remember what she said. .Does anyone remember, or could anyone make out the words on the video?

..among many other things, I'm sure. :) Much happiness to them both in their life together! And Sen. Kerry looked proud to announce him as her "husband-to-be" in his victory speech (I wonder how I missed that before? lol I remember watching it shortly after the election, though I don't think I saw the whole thing before this. Thanks again for posting it, karynnj! :))

10. I've only watched them at those 2 events
so I obviously know nothing at all . But, for whatever it's worth (probably nothing), from those brief from-the-distance, fleeting peeks, it sure looked to me like the Real Thing to me. There seemed to be this kind of thrilling energy between them. Lovely, lovely to see that anywhere, but especially between people who would seem to deserve it.
