Kerry there for Don Imus, who was just diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Hey, this place has been too quiet. Why not a Don Imus threader??

Seriously, as soon as I heard that Don Imus had prostate cancer, I just knew that Kerry would be there for him. Yup.

http://news.bostonherald.com/news/regional/view/2009_03_17_Don_Imus_battling_prostate_cancer/srvc=home&position=also

Controversial talkmeister Don Imus is expected to host his radio show in the Hub this morning - a day after telling listeners he’s battling prostate cancer.

The 68-year-old radio veteran said he was diagnosed with stage II prostate cancer Wednesday.

...

Imus spoke with Bay State Sen. John F. Kerry - a prostate cancer survivor - about his diagnosis.

“Prostate cancer has one tough foe in Don Imus,” Kerry said in a statement to the Herald. “You can bet not only will he beat the disease, but he’ll put his whole network of friends to work to bring attention to the disease and fund-raise for the research to beat it for everyone.”

Regardless of how people feel about Imus, the one thing I came away from the controversy with was that once JK is friends with someone, he really sticks by that person. That has certainly been true with Don Imus. Based on what has been reported, the prospects look very good that Imus will beat this cancer.

This is true. I have been a bit busy lately trying to get some stuff organized in my non-online, non-computer life . (Honest, I do have one. Really I do! Honest, I have a life, somewhere around here.) But I have been in contact with lots of people from the Senate office, including the good Senator. What you wrote is very, very true.

Everyone goes through some bad times. I think life tests us all to see how we handle hardships and so forth. I am very lucky to have friends, across a wide spectrum, whom I can count on for help and support. And I think I have these good friends both around my home and in places like DC. Of that, I am without doubt.

Bear with me a bit. Things are just hectic and I am still longing for spring. Well, who isn't? LOL!

2. I swear I will try to send the 70 degree weather we are supposed to have today
up your way. May the beautiful signs that spring is arriving appear very soon in Mass.

We're all here for ya, Tay.
