Another NYT article on climate change legislation - someone will be working hard this recess

If he can pull enough people together to get a bill as good or slightly better than the House's bill it will be fantastic.

2. I think that sentence elicited the same reaction from me!

Amazing that a small state Senator most people never heard of can have that kind of power even when he is against the President and the Senators who are taking the lead on these issues. Yet he is chair of Finance and that is where is power comes from.

One interesting fact is that former Senator Warner appears to be strongly supporting him on this.

4. NYT editorial on Kerry and John Warner makin the national security argument

It is interesting that Kerry seems to have enlisted Warner as such a strong ally. You would think he might have the ability to pull in some Republicans, who might otherwise miht have been unreachable.
