Hello Kerrycrats, I'm just dropping by with something completely off topic.
First of all "hello" to all. I've been a little burned out on politics lately but I do drop by to read the posts here. For the longest time, I was without a star and couldn't post. Unemployment and all that.

Since I know quite a few of you folks here are from Mass, I'd like to know if anyone would like tickets to see Heaven & Hell in Boston next Friday the 28th. It's a long story, but I ended up with an extra pair. I'm going to be there and would love to get together if anyone is interested. Have we any Metal Heads among the Kerrycrats? Let me know if you would like to see the concert. No charge for the tickets but you could buy me a drink or two. Always up for that.

2. Hi, Wisteria!
Too bad you don't live closer. It's going to be a fun concert. I got a chance for front row and already had tickets...one of those things that never happens.

How have you been?

4. Same here.
I'm just keeping my head down and moving forward. One step, one breath at a time. Getting older, you know.

I'm down in GA, so I can't take you up on your offer, but still, it is nice to see an old familiar "face" here.

Edit: I actually hadn't heard of "Heaven and Hell", so here is the info for other novices:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heaven_&_Hell_(band) (go to the band index)

I have a couple of Ozzy LPs, as in vinyl, (before the drugs really fried his brains), but no Black Sabbath.

It has been a while. As I said, I'm burned out on politics lately. Maybe a new election will inspire me again, but it's difficult to keep fighting when you're down for the count.

Things haven't improved all that much but I'm doing what I have to in order to survive. Music helps. Sorry I didn't post links. These guys have been around so long that I forget the name Heaven & Hell is new and that people may not be familiar with the band.

I'm a huge fan of Ronnie James Dio, who is the vocalist and lyricist in Heaven & Hell (as you can probably tell from my sig line) although I wasn't into Black Sabbath back in the day either.

Always loved Rainbow http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainbow_(band) and Dio http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dio_(band) though.

Heaven & Hell are getting very great reviews. I managed to get my hands on front row seats, which I couldn't pass up. Now I've got two other tickets that really should not go to waste. Not many people I know like hard rock or metal. Too bad, because this is really good. Dio actually sings unlike the front men in most metal groups. His voice is incredible. The music is top notch. Iommi is arguably one of the top guitarists of all times.

Ozzy had a talent but he squandered it. Sad actually. Dio's older and his voice is still top notch, probably in part because he's had the sense to stay away from things that can fry your brain.

7. Sorry, not a Metalhead
I am unfamiliar with that music. (I am a classical and Broadway musical type of person. Loud music or TV and flashing lights could put me in the ER with bad migraines. It has happened before, much to the chagrin of my husband.)

Thanks anyway and glad to see you back here!

8. Yes, it's loud music.
It's good music, though perhaps not best for anyone prone to migraines. That would not be fun.
