1. Good diary Beachmom.
The Hillary supporters seem a little out of sorts, but you did include her in your recognitions so they have nothing to really complain about.

2. I think the real reason was given by one of them
who argued that Obama and Hillary should have been given the Nobel prize. I think many have bought the fiction some Clinton journalists wrote that HRC would be the one defining their foreign policy. That and the fact that there really has not been any real HRC success of this magnitude yet. Not to mention many HRC supporters here (and likely on DKOS) repeated the Clinton leaked reason that JK was out of consideration - that he was weak.

The fact though is the nature of the job is that HRC often will be the person there at the end to cut the ribbon on agreements and get more credit than the nameless diplomats that worked on it. In one of the Pakistan papers, they referred to an upcoming Pakistan summit that HRC will attend later this month and any accomplishments will be ascribed to her.

I saw an article when Bill Clinton had his foundation's forum. On the day HRC came, she was introduced with talk crediting her with the new aid to try to address world hunger. Though the state department runs it or will run it, it was not their idea. The bill that defined it was introduced by Lugar and Casey within weeks of HRC's confirmation. Yet Bill Clinton did not credit the Senators. So, it is hard to feel sorry that HRC - in DC, didn't get the credit that Kerry got here.

3. Oh, I agree. I am sure sometime soon something will be drummed up so the media can credit it to her.
And, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't something hyped as bigger than Senator Kerry's efforts this past weekend.
I will always believe that Clinton is more media hype than real substance and until I see some real and honestly earned efforts, I will not change my POV. That notion that she was a workhorse and not a show horse in the Senate is just pure spin.

Frankly, she is a subdued SOS,I have never heard of such a low-keyed SOS before. Maybe this will change, but I have to wonder why she does seem so low profile. I have my thoughts on this, but they would only be speculation.
