START treaty passed the cloture bill and will be debated this afternoon
Senator Lincoln is giving a goodbye speech now, then the debate will start. Lugar will get 40 minutes, then they will give Kyl time, and then Senator Kerry. (McConnell did NOT back DeMint on reading the entire treaty.)

1. Good! DeMint is a classic PIA. Reading it would have amounted to nothing more than a huge waste of
time, which was exactly what DeMint wanted.

(They head Armed Services and the Intelligence Committee respectively)
