I just saw Going Upriver
and I all have to say is..."Wow"

Every American needs to see this amazing documentary by George Butler. It truly showcases the outstanding character and leadership demonstrated by John Kerry in times of unparalleled national upheaval. Truly a great man then and a great man now.

Here's the link where you can watch it on the Web: (using Real Player)

1. I will second that
Then read the book "Tour of Duty"

It is the book on which "Going Upriver" Is based. It is filled with excepts from his personal letters, diaries and official documentation from his early life. It is just stunning. It gives you far more insight into who the mean really is.

I just read my post, and it is too late to edit. What I meant to say is "It gives you far more insight into who the man he really is."

16. I liked it too.
I saw a big book of Butler's pics from his personal Kerry archive at my local Barnes & Noble. (Don't know if this was nationally available or not.) Interesting stuff.

The movie was very good. So many of those folks are still with Kerry. I just saw an article about advisors within the campaign and Thorne and Vallely and others were with the campaign this year. (In fact, they gave better advice than the pros did, but sadly they were overruled.)

Definitely an interesting film. Too bad it wasn't run during the last month of the campaign on TV somewhere. Would have been an effective rebuttal to the SBVT liars and their false charges.

5. Thanks so much for posting this. I haven't seen it yet. They used to sell
it on Buzzflash but I don't think it's available there anymore. I'd like to own a copy.

6. Support Kerrysupport.com
Its a great independent site. A must see for any Kerry fan. They have archived media links of the debates, old campaign ads, and various moments from the campaign itself. Help them out by going to the site and even donating a few dollars if you can.

11. A Very Kerry Christmas. Thanks.
Did you? I got all kinds of new Kerry stuff and I love it! I got a hat and a shirt that said "Don't Blame Me, I Voted For Kerry", and I also got a head start on my Kerry 2008 gear. I got some new books about Kerry that I didn't have. I thought I had almost all the books on him but I was wrong LOL. What new Kerry stuff did you get?

13. It is always good to be with family.
Although I was very excited to get all my Kerry stuff this Christmas has not been a good one for my family. My uncle had been in the hospital for the past week. He had prostate cancer. When they discovered it had spread so bad to other areas that surgery wouldn't take care of it. He had been getting radiation and chemo treatments but it was enough. He died at 4:00 a.m. this morning. So although it may seem all great really it isn't.

17. Thank You
He is better off. At least he doesn't have to suffer any any longer. Because he was suffering a lot before he died.

19. I'm so sorry
I just found out one of my uncles has cancer too. They did surgery and think they got it all. I would have thought he'd need chemo or radiation too, but my dad says no. All my uncles are in their 70s and 80s. I've been preparing myself for the next ten years, it's not going to be fun. I hope your uncle had a full life, that's about all I've got to hang on to when one of them dies. Sorry again.

18. I downloaded it
I don't remember where now. But maybe this will work, I don't know. Do you have high speed? I don't think I'd want to try it with dial-up, would take forever I imagine.

Mine's too slow, the whole thing was in slow motion. I'll use the link at the top unless the one you just put up is the same.
:hi: Thanks
