1. He is doing a great job
Speaking well and passionately. :loveya:

The Rethugs are assh*les. Their arguments are full of holes and Kerry is catching them on it.

2. He's doing a great job
Not only on the wildlife issue, but the impact of setting a precedent on how the Senate operates. It's too bad that Inoye is ignoring this argument. As a Democrat the Senate procedure issue should make him vote with the other Democrats.

3. Though you have
to give Inouye's claim that the Alaskan pipeline helped the caribou a big ol' head scratch. That's some scientific analysis.

4. I'll give
a few of those too. :loveya: :loveya: :loveya:

It takes some kind of guts to stand up to these bullies. Barbara Boxer's hanging tough too.

I missed it, too. Should have come home a little bit earlier. *sigh* I really miss seeing JK on tv, and I have dialup, so watching c-span videos online isn't exactly fun either . . .:cry:

14. I know. There must be some reason because it doesn't make any
sense.

Is there any oil around Hawaii?

18. There may be one way to stop it - Use our economic power
Edited on Thu Mar-17-05 10:48 AM by karynnj
If the economics are really as borderline as Kerry and others are saying, one tool that organizations such as the Sierra Club could use is to publicize NOW that they will ask their members to boycott the companies involved. In most areas, there is more than on brand of gas available. If say, XXXXX* drills, boycott XXXXX*. If the various environmental groups find that they can influence even 5% of the total population and shift their usage that would be an incredible impact on that company's bottom line. (I don't think the other side can match this - buy XXXXX* they have the guts to drill in the refuge.

This should not be done by a politician but by an interest group

* didn't want to use a real company's name
