Anybody else drawing up a will ? I told hubby that if anything happens to
me, I don't want to be treated like Shiavo. I told him pull the plug and never let anyone else tell him what to do.I am disgusted with the Dems who voted for this intervention in a private matter. Sheesh , all the polls indicate the public would pull the feeding tube. They can't even use political expediency as an excuse, because if this backfires on the repukes, the Dems that voted for this will also pay the price. I am sooo sick of the Dems that play both sides, I could barf. And Pelosi and most of the major Dems didn't vote! Truly, nothing seems important enough to take a stand on. Sheesh. I won't even comment on the Senate vote. I don't know how that was tabulated with everyone out of town. How is a voice vote done? Anyone know? In this instance with many gone?

1. I just talked to my daughter
and her hubby. I told them I wanted them to write everything down, and that I also wanted my visitation rights as grandma written down. May as well do it now when everybody likes each other. :) I'm not so worried about what they all decide to do with me, but I don't want any fight like this over my kids or grandkids. It would just destroy me.

I found out something quite interesting about the voice vote. Unless there is a quorum call, it is assumed that the Senate has a quorum. The voice vote happens. One Senator can stand up and say aye at that point, and you've got a voice vote. Isn't that somethin'?

6. Thanks for that info!
What a WEIRD rule. I was looking all over for information on the senate vote, but couldn't find much. That clears things up. Is there a listing anywhere of who was actually there?

7. This weekend it was Frist, Santorum and Harkin. They kept saying
the voice vote was unanimous. I haven't heard but I wonder if Harkin even said anything. He didn't call for a quorum obviously but he didn't have to say anything. The whole thing has been rather bizarre.

Harkin was representing the Dems since Reid and Durbin were in the ME.

Durbin, Boxer, and Cantwell are. I know pelosi issued a statement from saying what a disgrace the republicans are. I wonder if she's there too...I haven't seen much of her lately.

Also the WP said only three senators were involved, it wasn't unanimous by any means. The three involved were Santorum, Frist, and Harkin the only dem. senator involved).

The House dems were bad though. I really don't know what that was.
