Kerry Events Thread: April 25, 2005
Please list any upcoming Kerry events and appearances you may know of here. Include any and all info you have, such as time, place, date, cost to attend, etc. If you know of anything going on in another part of the country besides your own local area, list that too!

I encourage everyone to post as soon as they find out about something going on so people have plenty of notice to arrange travel if need be.

I don't have much in the way of specifics on the free events (if any) but here is the Seattle Times account: http://archives.seattletimes.nwsource.com/cgi-bin/texis...

Democrats yesterday sent out invitations to a May 1 Seattle fund-raiser headlined by Kerry, the party's 2004 presidential nominee.

"We have started fund raising again very aggressively to pay for the field and legal operations for the rest of the case," Berendt said.

Kerry will be raising money for the state party's "Governor's Defense Fund." Tickets will cost $40 to $250 apiece.

1. Kerry to speak at National Air & Space Museum on Tuesday!
Sorry no other details, it's from a press release:

Kerry, an honorary co-chair of the SBA's National Small Business Week Celebration, will speak at the National Air & Space Museum on Tuesday, April 26, 2005, to continue his tribute to America's small businesses and entrepreneurs. Kerry is a past Chairman and the current Ranking Member on the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

5. ABC News The Note says an LA trip is coming up
but they decline to say when. It will be in regards to the Mayoral race there. (When is that primary?)

7. LA Times today:
In addition, sources familiar with Villaraigosa's campaign said Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry, the Democratic candidate for president last year, would be in Los Angeles on Saturday to endorse his former national campaign co-chairman.

The campaign announced an endorsement rally with a "national political figure," but declined to comment further.

Kerry's endorsement would show Los Angeles voters that the councilman is a figure of "national status," said Richard Lichtenstein, a campaign consultant not involved in the race.

West Coasters who attend, a full report is mandatory.

11. Even better
these are the free events. The fundraisers are not on the JohnKerry.com site.

Now Kerry would have to be in Northern CA for you, right? I can't imagine that he won't go to Portland and San Francisco at a later date. Are these accessible for you?

14. I would virtually gaurantee it
St. Louis is a big Midwestern state and St. Louis is a gateway city. I should think he would certainly include it on any agenda to influence the American people to back his plan to make sure kids have health care. Stay tuned. This is likely to be a long campaign.

15. Is anyone going to any other the FirsFirst Events this week?
We had good coverage of the Boston, Austin and LA events. Is anyone from this group going to the other events this week in Minneapolis or Seattle or Baton Rouge or Miami? ANybody live in those media markets and can relate what the press coverage is like?
