Somebody just hit my car

She was coming up the street and a big black bumblebee got in her car. She's allergic to bees, freaked out, swung the car to the right and hit the stop sign on the corner, went through the kitty-corner neighbor's yard, saw the neighbor across the street in his drive way, and veered to miss him and smacked into my car!!

I heard the noise and looked out the window, but all I saw was the neighbor talking to the people in the little truck. Next thing I know, his wife is at the door saying the cops are on the way.

It doesn't really matter though. This poor car. It was given to my daughter about 5 years ago. She drove it to high school. We bought it from her for child #3. Then child #1 needed to borrow it when his truck was in the shop. He had it for two hours and rear-ended somebody. So it was already wrecked. We've been trying to decide whether to fix it or take it to the junk yard anyway. So it's now officially dead.

It was a good thing it was there because otherwise she'd have come straight through our yard and smacked into the brick wall around our front porch. She might have gotten really hurt, and she's pregnant to boot.

Wow. Most excitement I've had in years!!

AND that no one was sitting in it!! And how lucky that woman is - on many levels, but especially to have such understanding neighbors.

Son #1 is usually here this time of day, but wasn't. So his truck wasn't parked out there. And my husband is also gone, so his truck wasn't there. It's like the best thing for anybody to hit on the entire street. If something had to be hit. And the bush she took out, that neighbor had been wanting to pull it out too. lol. And we got a new street sign and stop sign too!

Your street must have fabulous karma! :-)

And so glad that the event seems to have taken so little damage to people and property. Goodness, I think the karma phrase was right.

i can understand her freaking out over the bee. i'm not allergic but i can't stand them.

the car can be seen as a "hero" in it's final act here.

I will pass that on to my daughter. She was a little misty when I called her and told her the car was dead. Funny, her arch nemesis in middle school was the girl who killed it. Or was possibly saved by it. Depending on the point of view.
