Beautiful Kerry pics
from Tuesday. I put them up in a different thread, but I'm not sure anyone saw them.

Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) (R) watches Senator John Kerry (D-MA) as he gestures during a joint news conference on protecting the U.S. from terrorism, on Capitol Hill in Washington, July 12, 2005. Senate Democrats on Monday opened a debate on domestic security spending by blasting Republicans for leaving America vulnerable to London-style attacks with their focus on terrorism overseas. 5. We went to a foreign relations committee meeting about border security
Fire and I saw my lovely Senator Obama, and the esteemed Ted Kennedy (who was there with McCain to talk about their new bill), but alas, no Senator Hottie. Twas sad. (But at least we got Barack and Ted out of the deal. And Biden, too, but he was kind of an ass, and not hot.)

7. I'm sorry sorry you didn't have a Kerry sighting
He was supposed to be at that committee hearing. (Come on, I know he would blow off the Digitial TV hearing for that juicy bit.) But he did a press conference instead. (And, by Whome's pics, it was great.)

So, did you like the trip WEL. Did you talk to the various offices about internships next year?

8. They gave really generic advice
Like, "here's a pamphlet, it has the deadlines to apply on it." Well, okay. Nothing I didn't know from the website. Oh well, I can apply for several and surely get taken for at least one. And yeah, we had tons of fun, it ended too quickly.

and isn't thinking, hmmmm, he can park his shoes under my settee anytime.

And he is a scoosh taller than Bill. And he has nice BLUE (or Blue /Green or Green eyes. Did we ever settle what color eyes Kerry has? The all-purpose argument settler -- hazel. What the hell is hazel anyway?)

Yeah, Hillary knows a good thing when she sees it. That is some look.

Ahm, is Kerry 6'4" or 6'5"? I forget. One article said the first, antoher said the second. Which is it?

And Bill is something like 6'3" according to wikipedia. Kerry's a mite taller--observe:

25. I believe
he's 6'4. On the Kids for Kerry website they had an interview with him and asked him how tall he was and he said he was 6'4. I remember reading he was saying he was taller then Lincoln. If he is ever president as he should be rightfully then he'd be the tallest.

Is Hillary saying to herself "How the heck am I going to beat this man in the primaries?"

And Kerry is thinking to himself, "Give it up Hillary, you'll never get past me baby"

28. Right now Hillary has Kerry beat in all those polls
So I bet she's thinking Clinton - Kerry.
No way should Kerry be VP.

This is totally random - but McCain really blew it. He should have said yes to Kerry. Kerry would have won for sure, even with black boxes. And that would have been the only chance McCain would have had to see the inside of the WH. Just thinking outloud.

30. Seeing what McCain turned out to be, I am happy he blew it.
but I think Kerry should have chosen a woman in 2004. But what is done is done.

I dont know what the situation is, but I am happy that Hill and Kerry have the good sense to remain friendly for these two years. We do not need a war of pretenders on the Senate floor.

41. i think both understand politics with a certain perspective
which comes with experience. in Hillary's case she saw some of the worst of it during her husband's presidency.

and of course Kerry more recently with the past election.

it will be interesting how things become as time goes by. but i am happy for now that they are able to support each other when it comes to these things.

36. Heh. I saw a comparative of * recently
can't remember where, but the picture of * showed people kind of waiting to shake his hand, but nothing like the clamoring you see here, and in so many of the Kerry pics.

I can't remember seeing any pics where people are reaching for * like that. It's probably just my bias though, and the fact that I don't spend much time looking at * campaign pics. Obviously there are some nuts in this country that like the twerp.

37. One reason (among many) that you probably don't see
tons of people reaching out to shake Shrub's hand is because if you have to sign a blood oath just to get in to see him, who knows what you have to be willing to do in order to touch him! With Kerry it seemed to me like he was (is) truly a rock star and people just want to get near him. (Too bad nobody likes him :sarcasm: )
