West of the Mississippi birthday card thread
For folks who are west of the Mississippi. Who's had the card and who wants it next. There is another thread for those signing the east of the Mississippi card.

(Hope this helps rather than confusing the matter further.)

1. Are we using this thread?
If so, here's me...I'll be happy to take the card after the last SoCal person signs it. And then I can send it to Saracat. Does that make sense? Are there others in the west? Just tell me who to send my address to. :)

2. Vektor sent it to me today
So I'll get it signed and try to get it in the mail as soon as possible to J17. I'll probably do it Friday since I'm swamped w/ so much to do and it'll probably get here by tomorrow or Thursday.

16. Could we start a third card?
It would be nice to get one to the middle of the country. We've got 3 in WI, 1 in IL, 1 in Missouri, 1 in Michigan, 1(?) in Iowa, and I'm probably forgetting a few.

21. I just posted that question as a separate thread
btw, what do you think about the idea of the Midwesterners starting a third card. Or are two enough if we can get them around.

Also, if we start to run short, I propose that we call the cards in to one of you Massachusett folks going to the party, and then I would further propose that anyone who didn't get to sign a card would send you their message, and you could copy their message onto the card.

That is a last resort suggestion if we start to run out of time.

What do you think?

22. Excellent idea.
We can also cut and paste in a scanned signature. This is what we have from Europegirl. It appears on the card, same as the rest.

We do need to find out where these cards are so we can calculate how many more people can get them in around 38 days and have time to get them to Boston.

Actually getting them to him on his birthday is of upmost importance.

It's so cool that you guys will be able to hand them to him yourselves. And also give him a big damn hug from ALL of us as well. I'd love that.

24. I still can't believe there will be many from here in Boston
for that event. It just happened so quickly. Life is full of surprises.

We met because of this group. Therefore, we cannot help but bring ALL of this group with us. This requires almost no effort, it just simply is. So, kiddo, you are there with me, whether you know it or not.

My son rolled his eyes in amusement at my fangirl-ness when he saw the card. :)
