House Defeats Romney Death Penalty Bill

It feels good to live in Massachusetts.

No offense to those who do not agree with me on the issue. It just feels incredibly good that the MA House has said Romney what they thought of his bill about "safe" death penalty. I am still mad that he used our tax dollars for a study about this subject. He certainly could not find a better use of that.

1. I love living here!
It's our own little liberal oasis. And I can't wait until we kick Mittens out of the state house. Only a little more than a year to go. :bounce:

2. Let this be the end of it for a while.

Every dozen years they bring back the fight for a death penalty. Every dozen years or so it fails. (We had a death penalty once, it didn't work out to good for Sacco or Vanzetti and that whole Salem Witches thing just set a bad example. Besides the state crime labs are a mess and they need to put some big bucks into that before Romney can say we have a fool-proof death penalty law.)

Can you go now Mittens? We don't want what you're selling. You got here under false pretenses, you've overstayed your welcome and I want the Corner office back. Gov. Romney: I think you're a reject.

States without a death penalty:
Alaska
Hawaii
Iowa
Maine
Massachusetts
Michigan
Minnesota
North Dakota
Rhode Island
Vermont
West Virginia
Wisconsin

ALSO
- Dist. of Columbia

3. I am sure the meetings between Mittens and Barbie must be fun.
She cannot wait any longer for him to say he will not run. Nobody believes he will run, but he apparently has decided he will give his decision in December at the earliest.

Mitt, time to go.

4. That man is so inconsiderate.
How am I supposed to plan a decent "Ding Dong the Mitt is gone!" Party if he won't announce when he is leaving? This is rude on a cellular level. There are Party invitation to print up, a menu to design. He should tell us when the 'surprise announcement' is coming out so that I can go ahead with my plans.

Honestly, what was he, raised by wolves or something?

7. The longer he delays
The less time Barbie will have to campaign. And the likelier we are to put a Dem in the governor's office.

5. is that the whole list?
Wow I didn't know that. I am shocked that the West Coast states still have a death penalty! I guess I've been too insulated in WI.

8. I also heard a funny Jimmy Tingle joke on AAR on Mitt Romney.

So here goes:

"Mitt Romney has been flip-flopping on a woman's right to choose..."

"When he ran for Governor in Massachusetts, he was Pro-Choice..."

"Now that he has Presidential ambitions, he is Pro-Life..."

"He only supports abortion in the case of rape, incest, and... to save the life of the candidate."
