For giving John Kerry the respect he deserves and for showing how an interview is suppose to be, by letting the the person being interviewed speak. :applause: :thumbsup:

2. Yes
They discuss Rosa Parks and then Iraq and then you know that famous question, in fact Tavis let JK answer without even being asked. Tavis showed much respect for JK and not one bit of snark in it.

5. The LA mayor
was suppose to be on tonight, but Tavis thought it was more important with all the Iraq talk going on to have Kerry on tonight.

4. Ugh, I'm so jealous.
I have to wait till 1 am west coast time. In fact, I'll probably in bed and unable to watch it till tomorrow.

I'm not at all surprised - TS is a nice and respectful person, but he's also really unafraid to talk about things like issues for people of color. He always struck me as pretty progressive.

11. I know.
Did you see it? There wasn't even the remotest hint of snark. It may be late, but it's still good to see people appreciating how different the country would have been with him as president.

I thought he asked some creative questions - esp. the one about how he thinks about the way things turned out. I thought that question - and Kerry's answer - gave an enormous amount of insight into the way JK thinks. Forward looking, positive. He simply does not wallow.

13. I haven't seen it yet, but..
some were saying that they wish Kerry would just come out and fully explain the IWR vote. Too many think it's a vote for war and not regime change. I think if the Dems keep hammering the real meaning of the IWR that might make people see that this is *'s war, not Kerry's or anyone elses.

14. Tavis gave him
a ton of time to explain how he feels and what he thinks about the war. I'll be curious to hear what you have to say after you see it. I thought it was a great job on the parts of both Smiley and Kerry.

18. I didn't get a chance to see it
but I just checked out Tavis Smiley's PBS site and it looks like there should be an audio of the show up today (judging by the fact that the audio of Tuesday's show is already up.)
