Late Afternoon Open Thread
by Rob in Baltimore - 11/26/2005 05:30:00 PM

Open Thread Away!

I'm enjoying a lazy day on Nantucket watching The Adam Carolla Project. Later tonight I'm off to chow down on some lobster for dinner. Maybe I'll bump into John and Theresa again tonight after seeing them shopping on Main Street last night.

1. Ah, Thanksgiving weekend at the Nantucket place
with John, Teresa, and probably a selection of their kids. Sounds lovely. :)

2. Kerry was at the NotreDame Standford game yesterday according to this
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2005/11/27/SPGTVFUPSU1.DTL

If those questions had still been reverberating through the old joint Saturday night, the closing ceremonies would have been bleak. Instead, the evening had a glamorous quality, with Joe Montana and wife Jennifer standing on the Notre Dame sideline, and John Elway, John Brodie and Jim Plunkett watching their alma mater.

Up in the VIP box, Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., sat with a Washington pal, James Johnson, who conducted the search for Kerry's vice-presidential candidate last year and who also happens to be the father of Stanford sophomore Alfred Johnson, a back-up defensive lineman.

5. Glad to know he's out and about
I'm sure he's trying to keep up his visibility around the country, and is trying to stay in touch with some of his supporters. I (selfishly) wish that he were in DC more often so that I could have the chance of seeing him!
