John Kerry to Address Council on Foreign Relations on Thursday

John Kerry to Address Council on Foreign Relations on Thursday
December 6th, 2005

In the wake of the 9/11 Commission�s final report released today, it appears that John Kerry has no intention of letting up on exposing the ineptitudes of the Bush administration.

Kerry will address the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City on Thursday, December 8. His speech is titled �Real Security in the Post-9/11 World.� The speech is scheduled for 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., followed by meeting at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City.

2. C-Span has shown CFR stuff in the past

Didn't they get Joe Biden there just a few weeks ago. I think it helps that the Senate is still out until next Monday.

Write to C-span and ask them to cover this.

By the way, if you enter Kerry as a search term at the top of the CFR site, you will get a mother lode of stuff. They collect everything here, from significant campaign speeches to television interviews to newspaper OpEds. This is quite a worthy research site.

BTW, the CFR does sometimes carry audio on their site to major speeches.

5. I don't think it is open to the public.

I think that's a CFR members only. I have seen their events before on C-Span and it looks like a pretty chummy crowd that all sort of know each other.

I did notice that the CFR website seems to have audio/transcript and possibly video of speeches, but I don't know if they do that for every speaker...

7. It's not on the C-Span schedule for tomorrow.

But I noticed that the CFR website had an audio link up for when Joe Biden was there a couple of weeks ago, so they will probably have at least audio up sometime tomorrow afternoon.
