What you missed: TayTayisms
Apparently, I have a distinctive way of expressing myself. So, many of our visitors left town with a list of, ahm, TayTay's Boston-isms:

Old stuff. Wicked old stuff. Really wicked old stuff. There is a difference.

I have no use for some people and they are friggin' bastids. (GV?)

Life is good.

The 'f' word can be an all purpose modifier. Well, it can be in Boston anyway.

Sen. Kerry is wicked, wicked smaht.

Anyone else? I'm too tired for self-inspecting my awful spech patterns at the moment.

1. The family enjoyed "old stuff", "wicked old stuff" and "really old stuff".
The husband said huh! What's that mean. I got it Tay Tay.

2. I must move to Massachusetts
Any state so free with the word "fuck" is where I belong.

I also liked "no good cocksucking piece of shit asshole." I don't even remember who that was, but it was a glorious smackdown. Add in your Bawston accent and it was 100 times cooler. ;)

6. I think I was separated at birth from the city of Boston
By yesterday afternoon in the car heading back with Tay, Rox and DD (to catch my flight in Manchester) I think I had adapted quite nicely to the prolific use of the F bomb and I even picked up a few driving tips which I put into use right away when I left the airport in Norfolk. At least we're all honorary Massholes now - that's so frickin' special.

7. Geez, guess that means I can't let my kids read this.
Ahm, I think I just need to book that appointment at 'Finishing School' and re-read 'Manners for Dummies.' Ahm, I do not, generally, have a problem expressing myself. I guess that much, for damn sure, came through.

Tell us what you really think TayTay? Now, don't hold back, cuz 'that whorish band of greedy, f'ing, piece of sh*t bastids who are really pissing me off' sounded a bit like self-restraint. (Ahm, I don't think that particular phrase ever made it into the Miss Manners column in the newspapers.)

It was a wicked awesome weekend though, wasn't it?

8. What's so wickedly awesome is now when we read your posts
we get the full effect because we know how you really sound. If you went to Finishing School that would just ruin everything. I don't think anyone had too much of a problem expressing themselves - Fire did an EXCELLENT job of it Sunday night in the pub. You're rubbin' off on us all.

It was wicked awesome and I'm thinking about it so virtual high five to ya!

9. High Five back at ya!
Yesterday was a day to reflect on what the hell happened on Sunday night. We still could not believe that we had a beer with JK. So every so often one of us would pause, in the middle of sentence, and say, "I had a beer with John Kerry last night!' The others would immediately high five that person. It got to the point where we would just say, "I'm thinking about it' and look at the other people and the high fives would go around again.

Sigh! It was a 'time.'

10. Well, we have this image thing sometimes
Edited on Tue Dec-13-05 09:26 AM by TayTay
That we are scone-eating, fancy-dwelling, ultra-polite, Miss Manners finishing-school attending, reserved, aloof and off-putting people. Who can't communicate with the rest of the nation and are navel-picking, introspective, geeky Harvard types who can't talk to 'regular people,' cuz we are too refined and educated to relate normally.

Fuck that bullshit.

Guess we put the kibosh on that one this weekend.

4. Yes, love the use of profanity.
Down here in the south, that is sometimes frowned upon. I finally got old enough to where I don't care. :) Those words are so useful, so descriptive!
