Here's my post.
John Kerry stood behind me and gently massaged my shoulders.

I'll never wash them again.

That is all.

2. Did it happen before or after you told him your screen name?
And were you less tense afterwards? What a fun night! Thanks for the update.

5. I don't believe John knew
which of us was which. Teresa had a cheat sheet, but I'm pretty sure she wouldn't know which face went with which name. And while she was reading about us to general applause (and my extreme embarrassment), JK was not on stage - he was off to one side and couldn't see us squirming.

Let me add that my one specification for attending this was that I not have to go on stage. I'm a backstage girl - hate the limelight. Standing up there with all the flashbulbs going off like fireworks was like living one of my recurrent nightmares. But anything JK wants, right???

I'm not sure if I was less tense afterwards. But thanks for asking. It was an amazing moment, I must say.

Oh, and Teresa read my screen name exactly correctly - she read it Who, me? Tense? She is an absolute trip. I already loved her, but now I love her more.

9. I love Teresa
She was so great when she was here at Georgetown and was talking to me and my friends. Everyone totally loved her, especially my roommate, who later went so far as to tell me, "I'm jealous of John Kerry, because he's married to Teresa, which means that he gets to be around her all the time!" Do you have any more THK tidbits?

14. Shows you just how intuitive JK really is -- as to THK, I had a
nanosecond encounter w her during '04 that spoke volumes to me about her great character and genuiness. She truly is the real deal.

7. But did he do it in a sort of aloof kind of way???
I'm hearing a buzzing in my head from the MSM. It's saying ** does not compute ** does not compute ** System will self destruct in 10 seconds **

What can I say, Whomtense -- I think you deserved that shoulder rub seeing that you have been supporting JK since like forever. I think that was your story about going to some Lt. Gov. campaign meetup thing in 1982, and then seeing Kerry on the street and he was very polite and said "hello". Looks like y'all have finally broken the ice!! I am SOOO happy for you.

That's so sweet - and yes, that was my story.

So unreal. And the most amazing part was that for all that he is our hero, he is even better in person. That was what was going through my head as I was sitting there in a daze - it's unbelievable that the lies that were pushed about him in the media ever took hold. He is utterly the opposite of everything they say about him. Smart, funny, warm, and even a good listener. How many politicians can you describe with those words? A mere tiny handful.
