3. Great collection of photos. Thanks.
I love photos of JK with babies. The reaching across the hedges handshake is one of my favorite.

4. I love that too...
really gives you a glimpse of the kind of selfless person he is.

Bush would NEVER shake a Kerry supporter's hand. Heck, he'd have one arrested for daring to come within 50 yards of him.

5. Vek, these are gorgeous
You would make a great photo editor. You have a great eye.

I too adore those pics with kids. I have yet to see a crying or inattentive kid with John Kerry. These pics are just so warm and genuine. We needed more of these during the campaign.

6. Thanks for the photo thread Vektor
I went to bed last night and remembered that it was Friday night and we hadn't had a photo thread (which is a sacrilege I believe). Thanks for putting one together.

9. Wonderful pics, Vek
Edited on Sat Dec-17-05 09:37 AM by rox63
It looks like we've got our weekend pic thread. So I'd like to add a few.

A campaign stop in Milwaukee, where he looks triumphant.

Here's sportsman Kerry, ready to toss the football with a group of kids.

Multitasking - biking and talking on the cell phone, without falling off.

Heck, he even bowls.

He really honors our troops.

With the troops in Iraq. No plastic turkeys for our guy.

Solemn, honoring the victims of 9/11.

Nice pic of JK and THK after the heartbreaking concession speech on 11/3/04.

17. I didn't know Kerry was a cowboy.
Edited on Sat Dec-17-05 03:09 PM by politicasista
Cause it looks like he is wearing cowboy boots in this pic. (And Smirky is a fake one at best). :)

27. I saw that happen on Cspan
The guy was actually a heckler, chanting something anti-Kerry along with a few others. So JK walked right over to him and stuck out his hand. That's classy as well as brave. I imagine the secret service had a few adrenaline rushes, though!

28. Again, Kerry proves he is the better man.
Maybe that guy thought twice about his opinion of Kerry after that incident. He probably didn't like him because of the grossly skewed media portrayal of him, and after that, maybe he realized Kerry was a human being after all. The man did shake his hand back, so maybe he had a little grain of humanity left...somewhere.

the world is not the same. :) I'm guessing the guy voted for him. (Probably not, but we can pretend.)

A hug for a fellow vet.

With the troops in Iraq. Nice jacket!

I love this little smile.

Edited to add one of my favs of JK & THK.
