1. Yes sirreee! That is my man
Edited on Thu Jan-13-05 06:56 PM by merh
He is more presidential than the weed could ever be and he is trying to restore relations with international governments.

I hope the weed is squirming, trying to figure out what he is up to and I hope condi has trouble sleeping, worrying about this - he will be grilling her lying ass during the confirmation hearings!!!

heeeheeeehehhheee

:loveya: :loveya: :loveya: John Kerry :loveya: :loveya: :loveya:

2. I've been thinking about this...
Isn't this the kind of relationship-building our CIC (weed - I like that.) should have been doing for the last four years? Its' refreshing but at the same time feeds my frustration that * and his gang operate like thugs.

It's almost like Kerry is assuming the mantle of Ambassador-at-large.

You're right. He's much more Presidential than weed. (It's growing on me.)

If he keeps things like this up for the next four years, I think he'll win a lot of converts.

3. He's gonna be busy next week
Kerry's on the Foreign Relations Committee which is meeting to reward Condi Rice's spectacular failure as National Security Director with a promotion to Sec of State. Tuesday Jan 18th

Kerry's also got a seat on Finance and they meet Wednesday at 2 to question Mike Leavitt of Utah's fitness to be HHS Sec.

4. They will also have it ....
Live on C-SPAN. They will be a must see. Anyhow this weather is getting crazy around here. The wind is blowing so hard that it has already taken big limbs out of tree's and it is raining like hell. I hate weather like this. It makes you lazy.

5. God, I know
It's snowing a shitload out here... cold and nasty. And I think I've become completely nocturnal, a habit I need to break by the time classes start next week.

6. Formally, the title is "weed that would be king" - the short form
Edited on Thu Jan-13-05 09:58 PM by merh
of course is "weed" or "the weed". I've been using that for as long as I can remember because he is not even good enough to be a bush or a shrub, just a weed, killing the foilage around him.

My man Kerry will be someone to watch. I don't he will give up on the weed and I can't wait until he gives condi hell during her confirmation hearing.

I still love the fact that I can say: John F. Kerry, the 44th President of the United States of America! I believe he will be. (Well, we know he is, but that schmuck is not only a weed, he is a thief.)

:loveya: John F. Kerry :loveya:

8. How about WTWBK?
Just kidding.

You've stated the apparent strategy. Kerry is/will be someone to watch. The more I've learned about him, the more I've come to respect him.

I hope you'll excuse me for not using the smiley hearts in my post.

10. Of course I will excuse you, I use them because I truly love the
guy. Before the election, during the primaries, I studied all of the candidates records and biographies. I liked Kerry's the most but it was not until I watched one of the cspan coverages of his speech at a high school that I realized what type of man he is. He took the time to discuss the issues with folks and he was just so sincere. While getting ready to leave the assembly someone asked him what criteria he would use to pick a supreme court judge. His answer was so logical and apolitical. He said he would not look at the judge's politics, but at his record and would nominate someone who respects the constitution. That simple response sealed it for me. Since then, I have been a follower and once I watched "Going Up River" well, there is no other candidate that comes close to being the man that John Kerry is.

Oh, so I rambled enough - no need for floatie hearts, I use enough for the two of us. :loveya: John F. Kerry :loveya:

11. I sent the info to my daughter who is in Paris right now!
She's working a three-month stint in Paris, and is going to try to see whether he gets on TV and whether he speaks French on air! She wants to see if his accent is good or not (she is a translator). I told her he lived in France as a kid, so likely it's pretty good! She will try to get papers or magazines documenting the visit and bring them home with her in March.

15. Yeah, I liked that story.
One reference to it that I can't remember source for at the moment said that when Americans speak French, it is usually for flirting purposes. Sigh!

My husband speaks Yiddish. Not the same.
