3. it's good to see the gratitude

for our senators. I called both offices earlier - got right through, too - to thank them for at least trying to filibuster. The staffers were friendly and sounded pleased.
I'm donating big to Teddy this week, and JK is going to get money, too. Only, I want to make sure it goes to him, not to his PAC.

5. I'm trying to find out myself

The e-mails are from Friends of John Kerry. I believe the contribution requests are for the PAC. So far, I have not found a way to make sure my contribution goes to JK's own war chest. Maybe his PAC money will be used to fund his own campaign when the time comes, I don't know.
I wouldn't have so much of a problem donating to the PAC if I could have a guarantee that not one penny of my money will go to help reelect one of the 19 traitors from yesterday.

... it does not really matter that much... The emails have a "contribute" link at the bottom. Also, I assume he decides who to support, and if he thinks one of the 19 deserves his support, s/he can have mine. I was just curious about the distinction and the implications.
