Kerry was sucking up?

I'll admit I didn't get to see the hearings because I was in school all day, but what the fuck?

It didn't appear he was sucking up at all, and I read an article about what happened, and that "suck up" said he may not even vote to confirm her. These people are so fuckin annoying, zulch was right, Kerry should have hit her, better yet told the committee she was like Ray Finkle/Lois Einhorn in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and was really a man, and that she plotted to kill Dan Marino because he made her/him in a goat. :)

He wasn't like "Wow thank you Ms. Rice for being here, can I just tell you that I think youre the most special lady, Ive ever seen", he was pretty good asking her questions, he didn't get her face of course and say "youre a fucking bitch condandigus rice"

For a dignified guy like Kerry, that *was* a bitchslap. I was high-fiving my coworker when we heard it. :)

but always a gentleman. He expressed concern that she was getting too worn out, at one point, and she assured him she was ok--he showed concern for her personally, without letting his opinions about her policies or qualifications get in the way. Truly diplomatic, truly a good man. That made me so proud of him. :)

People, don't step on your own best argument. Kerry has to be nice to these folks because he's a damn grown-up and a US Senator, not a freaking Red Sox fan at a Yankees game.

I wrote this in response to someone else who whined about Why is Kerry being nice to Condi:

I want the Dems to kick Condi's ass too! (Any proxy for the Idiot King will do, actually.) But what did you want him to do at the end? Tell her that you hope she and the entire foreign policy of the US goes down in flames. We have troops in Iraq whose lives are on the line. It would be unAmerican and irresponsible not to wish for a bipartisan solution to getting help for Iraq.

Do you want to tell the parents/spouses/children of people in Iraq that you hope diplomacy and bipartisanship fails? I don't. Kerry has to say this. That said, I don't think the Admin is listening. But you can't say you didn't offer some help.

Does anyone have the pic from last Dec. of Kerry at the funeral of the MA soldier. Please post it. That's why he opposes Condi and Bush. Period. End of story. He's doing his frickin job.
