Oh dear Lord in heaven! Moe, Larry and Curly look for guidance to a real leader.

Wow, what an amazing pic. My new favorite.

Could they have placed Sen. Kerry any further away from the Prez. One seat more and he's outside in the hall at the Kiddie Table. Geez. Still, nice to see someone with brains in the White House for change.

seem to be enjoying themselves, Barfie and Dogman paying attention to JK, yet * has that look of angst. Wonder what * is thinking there? (well whatever passes for thinking in that speck of gray matter.) "Gee I think they like him better...guys you are supposed to be looking at me!"

was not yesterday, but today?
Anyway, that is some picture, that line up, the Three Stooges and a real President.

may I say that I have never seen a yummier looking Democrat in the White House. (Damn, that's a nice picture. He should smile more. It's like the sun peeking out after a really rainy day.)

If there was justice in this world, after this picture Kerry would have remained inside and here's what would have happened to Bush:

10. looks like JK has made a joke that * doesn't quite get...
The chimp doesn't really smile much these days. Like an Altzheimer's patient--he's "vague" and out of it. I think he's secretly scared of JK--this going back to his days at Yale when he hated all the smart guys.

What's Rove doing back there--taking notes on what JK says? Sketching out his retirement home plans? Working on his treson defense? Playing Hangman? Drawing dirty pictures?

11. Original caption sort of funny
From the New York Times:

"President Bush, far left, with Senators Rick Santorum, George Allen and John Kerry Thursday after a meeting in the White House."

First time I've seen Bush and Kerry together and Bush was called "far left."

Bush, Santorum, and Rove - don't sound Irish to me and it wasn't St Patrick's day yet. Kerry's tie looks nice and doesn't he have a whole county in Ireland named after him?

16. That really is telling
Bush is President, the room is filled with Republicans, they are in the White House - yet Bush is the one who looks ill at ease. Kerry looks friendly, at ease and confident. (Reminds me of that psychological thing posted awhile back that said that Kerry was able to enjoy life, but Bush really didn't)

24. I always think that, except in the eyes.
Somehow there is that look in his eyes that seems almost outside time. I think that's why I voted for him, that look and the 'I've seen stuff' image that it implies. And for the wisdom, whihc I think he has in bagfuls.

And I mean that in a good way. He's got an impish sense of humor here--like, "how funny is this--me sitting here with these three characters!" and "don't worry, I haven't gone over to the DARK SIDE!"

When he's being serious, even grim, he does look older. But when he's being whimsical or happy, he does look years younger. Like those famous pics from Austin. It's the same with these pics from Thursday.

Note to self: smile more--look younger! :)

edit: Also--doesn't the chimp look like the Crypt Keeper? Yeeesh! And he's younger than JK!! Of course he started with the distinct disadvantage of being ugly from the get-go.

26. Ahhh, Austin . . .
I was there. Great memories. He was so energized! I think that is the key. Not everyone has that kind of energy and enthusiasm. I became a true believer when I watched the Democratic National Convention and I saw that in him. It really took me by surprise. I knew so little about him at that time and I had NO idea!

It is ridiculous to think the Chimp is younger than him, isn't it. Of course, he is "stupider" also. God, what an idiot!!!!!!!!

You can almost feel it, looking at pics like these. The other three seem a wee bit "on-edge", if I'm not reading too much into it. JK "owns" the table. :)

Kerry does look more at ease than anyone else there - surrounded by Republicans. Even if he brought his own water - which is unlikely, maybe he was saving the government money, bringing his own water from home.

Are they claiming he is taking an unfair share of the water or that he is elitist drinking bottled water, while the Republicans are drinking good old American tap water? It doesn't make sense to claim it's not water, as Kerry is always quite lucid unlike the others at the table.

He's also the only one without a coffee cup - even though he looks the most alert. That is likely why he has a bottle of water - he asked for it when the others got coffee. (It still amazes me that he isn't a coffee drinker.) Do they care that Allen seems to have brought his own coffee in the brown take out cup? (It's only in the OP photo)

32. they were debating it
some thought he was being selfish with his own bottle while the rest had glasses which i guess implies they shared .

and another did seem to think it was elitist for him to have bottled water while the "men" were drinking coffee. so now coffee is the drink for real tough men ? hhahaaha

but it's interesting because their guy is the Pres and hte place is full of their people. but all they see is Kerry as being the selfish one with everything .

i'm sure the fact he really does look like he belongs unlike the rest gets to them also.
