First Annual Massachusetts Procurement and Business Expo

Co-hosted by the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce

May 22, 2006

At Sal’s Riverwalk
354 Merrimack Street Lawrence, MA

Small businesses are essential to Massachusetts’ economy. They provide some $30 billion in annual state revenues and approximately 1.5 million people. As the ranking minority member on the US Senate Small Business Committee, my goal is to leverage all the resources available to our economy so we can maximize our state’s unique role in both the national and global economy. It is for this reason that I hope you will share this invite with your local business community so that they may come and benefit from the contracting and procurement opportunities available that day.

The exhibitors will include small business and contracting officials from federal, state, and local government procurement offices, as well as a large variety of hospitals, colleges and universities, prime contractors and independent franchisers. Several banks and other lending institutions will be available to discuss loans and financial structuring.

If you are interested in attending as an exhibitor, please click here for more information or contact Setti Warren at (617) 565-6653.

To attend as a participant, please fill out the registration form below, or fax to Setti Warren at (617) 248-3870.

1. Hmm, this one's happening on my birthday
But I wonder if you have to be a business owner to attend?

3. Cool! And holding it in LAwrence is very nice.
Lawrence can use the help. That city has been in trouble for a while. It is a great idea to have an expo and show off some of the businesses in the Merrimac Valley. Excellent work!

Nice!

4. Lots of cheap industrial and office space in Lawrence
With all the old mill buildings. And the city certainly could use a boost.

5. I agree. This is a wonderful idea
It offers a nice seminar where Small Business people can meet, it advertises the Senator expertise with SBA issues and it will be good for Lawrence Mass, a community that needs a boost. A real nice idea all around.
