Teddy Kennedy
I guess everyone likes the Lion here? He's full of himself and has various personal vices. I think he redeemed himself by voting against FMA and standing by JK all these years. I also thought his evidence against Gonzalez was good. I believe he's going to vote against Rice, too.

1. He's certainly one of the most interesting Senators
if not THE most interesting. He's also a fighter and a great liberal. So yes, I like him. Massachussetts has the best Senators. I only have one great Senator :)

4. Feinstein
She's just so...ugh. However, I question the wisdom of trying to get rid of her since she's the most popular politician in CA and she must be good for something. Maybe.

5. Ive read that Cali
has one senator to represent idealogy and another to do things for the state, and DiFi is the latter.

7. Makes sense
Feinstein does work more bipartisanly. I don't dislike her but I vastly prefer Boxer

2. oh I love that man
one of the reasons why I realized Kerry was good was his ethuisatic support of him.

Why do you love him?
Why wouldn't Teddy have supported him? They are major buddies. Actually Kerry esteem for Teddy made me reconsider him. You see, my grandma always mutters about Teddy and Clinton cos of their adultery. In Teddy's case it was particularly odious. The Lion's not too popular among feminists, but he does vote pro-gay and pro-choice and support JK so I am now digging him.

10. because I love the Kennedies
They have worked so hard to advance what I feel are just causes. I didnt say Kennedy wouldnt support him, I said it was Kennedy's support of Kerry that made me really like Kerry. Yeah my grandmother isn't big on the adultery either but she likes and admires him. Kerry and Kennedy are one of the most if not hte most liberal duo in the senate.

11. Adultery's not cool
but that also doesn't have anything to do w/ his job and it's none of my business.

12. Kerry and Kennedy are liberal good duo and so is
Sarbanes and Mikulski (represent, represent!)
Kerry was my dream candidate cos he was a "Kennedy" without the adultery issues.
Everyone knows I love the Kennedys!
JFK's campaign song keeps running through my head.
"Kennedy, Kennedy, Ken-ned-dee, KENNEDY, KENNEDY, KENNEDY!"

6. Teddy's a good man
He's been through a lot in his life. But he has a great sense of humor and loves to tease people. And he runs the best Senate office in DC. (Really. His most amazing quality is the ability to spot talent. More good politicos have come out of Teddy's office than anywhere else I can think of.)

Kerry was a bit of a loner for awhile. But Teddy was always teasing him, trying to get him to open up a bit. Some of their joint forums were a little awkward for awhile, but Big John has really come around in the last 9 years. They make a good team.

I am very pleased with both of my Sens for saying they were going to vote no for Condi. I am now holding out for two not votes on Gonzales. That would be great!

15. He's one of my favorites
stands up strong for traditional liberal values, all the time.

There is a reason the right-wing hates him so much, and the more they hate him the more I can see why I like him.
