Great smackdown of CNN propaganda about "insurgents"

It's beginning to look more and more like Vietnam, but with a media willing to go along with the propaganda.

misleading and lying to the public. To a public trying to pay attention and get accurate information, this is confusing because CNN will do other reports that are truthful and will honestly say that the majority of the terrorists in Iraq are Iraqi's. Yesterday they reported the rosy picture presented by Rumsfeld and Condi as reported to the President. They mentioned as an example of improvements, children attending school. The suggestion being the children had never been to school before. They failed to mention in the reporting they were returning for the first time since we invaded their country. The real story here is how much education they have actually lost out on because of our governments' arrogance and poor planning.

(The use of the term "insurgents" for Iraqi dead that is, not the Kos thread.) I've heard him say in various interviews from the Vietnam era, that they were told that "if the person is dead, he's Viet Cong" it didn't matter who the person was (woman, child, elderly villager ...). I'm sure it's maddening to Kerry and all other Vietnam vets who have a conscience, to hear the same propaganda repeated 40 years later.

The fact that the MSM gets away with catapulting the propaganda so easily is truly sickening.
