You good folks totally rock you know
Edited on Thu May-11-06 07:55 PM by TayTay
I hope that Kerrystaff hears about what a great job everyone here does at 'getting the Senator's back' on days like this.

You guys are so good. I am so proud to be in this group. You all rock!

(And Whome just got back. She needs a pic thread. She has been Kerry-bereft for weeks.)

2. That was actually fun today.
At first I was a little afraid because I am not at my mental best. (Maybe that works for me?) But I had fun telling people 22 million times that Kerry endorsed Feingold's censure motion and that the good and true Senator from Wisconsin even thanked Kerry publicly for the support.

Sigh! How many times do you have to post that before it sinks in? (How many roads does a man walk down before they realize he's voting for the f*cking thing? Honestly.)

I liked that today. BTW, I think everyone here has conquered FOK syndrome quite nicely. (Ahm, Fear of Kos.)

6. God, how stupid was that?
Not to mention that, on my list of priorities, censure of Bush - a totally symbolic gesture with absolutely no legal import whatsoever - ranks significantly below oh, say, getting our soldiers home from the clusterfuck in Iraq, for example. Or providing health care for every child in America.

They don't really care about WHAT gets done so much as WHO is doing it, and whether that person is on their "Kool" list or not.

I think it calls for my favorite smiley:

11. Come on, that's nothin' compared to debunking
"He still supports the Iraq War". I really felt like Stephen Colbert this afternoon "nailing" everyone in sight!! But, you know, the Senator has made the job rather easy for us, with the great decisions he has made, especially this year.

But I feel like this group is great because everyone has their specialty and strengths, so that we can parry every attack gracefully. For example, you know who's on what committee and how if a Senator is NOT on that committee how they can fight a nominee. I don't know that stuff, so I just concentrated on name calling and linking to stuff that just popped in my head, like Kerry saying he typed fast with two fingers. Iraq is where my heart and soul is now, so I am ready for any question on Iraq and Kerry's Iraq plan. Everybody here was so awesome, plus a bunch of helpers for which I didn't recognize names. Anybody who was especially nasty was swatted like an inconsequential fly.

Great job, everyone!!

3. You all were fantastic! MH1,
I am so glad you took the opportunity to mention updating the website. I really think JK has a ton of good information on his site, and keeping updated is going to be key.

Thanks!

18. I do want to say that ALL of you guys did a great job.
I know I'm not the only one who put up a lot of posts on that thread, and there were some damned fine posts from you guys. but I'll admit I am tired now and too lazy to pick out who did what, so once again let me just say to all of this group:

:yourock:

:patriot:

Okay I actually have to do work tomorrow, so its off to snoozeland. Just listened to the audio of JK's speech and I believe I will sleep very well.

5. You rock too Tay Tay!
The camaraderie of this group is amazing. I think it says something about John Kerry that we continue to stay united and strong.

Here's an original print I purchased a few days ago off of ebay. I couldn't resist it. It should be arriving in the mail tomorrow, and of course it will be minus the watermarks. This photo was taken at a peace rally in 1972.

22. Yeh, I cane home from work and saw all the great
comments from everyone. It's not like telling the truth about Kerry is hard, but I noticed a troll (lefty or righty) trying to stir up problems. All you guys did is tell the truth!!!

You guys rock!

23. *always* a date late to the party....

but found the thread, recc'ed everyone's (and I mean everyones!) supportive comments, and added my own, see below. :patriot:

Hope

To me, John Kerry represents hope. He did in before, he does now. I understand that he doesn't represent hope for everyone. Que sara... we're all individuals in a group. @;-)

And, while as dire as Selection 2000 was for me at the time, I never quite believed things would have to go as low and insane as they have gone (worse-case scenario times 100,000,000,000), the fact that people like John Kerry and Al Gore are still in the field-- men who were in bruising campaigns-- fighting hard as they are now, helps keep my spirit afloat. And that's important, because giving up isn't an option for patriots.

We've all spoken truth to power and felt the effects of doing so. It isn't a pretty or pleasant experience. The urge to strike back in the same manner we've been attacked is tempting, but ultimately, in my opinion, a waste of time, energy and integrity.

In the chorus of voices who have been continually chanting against the Bush Wall of Deception, the Ray McGoverns and Steven Colberts are beginning to be spotlighted. And old voices, the Scrowcrofts, the Wilsons, the Clarkes & etcs are being replayed in the refrains. We’re louder and we’re filling the air with truth, idealism and love of country. Also, responsibility and a sense of the world as one.

It’s all good. :-) We will prevail. Nothing has been in vain.

I celebrate everyone's voice in this chorus.
