Veteran politicians more familiar with turntables and typewriters are enlisting twentysomething computer whiz kids to help them brave the digital world of blogs, podcasts and the Web as they look to connect directly with voters.

John Edwards, the 2004 vice presidential nominee and a White House hopeful in 2008, recently showed off a newly designed Web site that features a reality television show that tracks Edwards, up close and personal, as he goes around the country.

(I suggested this for Kerry a year ago! A "reality show" type update that followed him in his life and travels, and put a "human face" on the man and kept people wanting to tune in - stuff with the family, at home, in the Senate, on the town, etc... A few thought "cool idea" and others thought I might be nuts. GAH! Edwards has beaten us to the punch, that young whippersnapper!) :-)

a damn good idear! I think the good Sentor (or staff) should hear this and maybe someone should have a look/see at that site that John Edwards has.

I'd love a JK reality show, I've been saying this for a year now! A lot of people (none of these great folks of course) looked at me funny and were like "a reality show that follows a POLITICIAN?"

But now Edwards is doing it! In today's "reality" crazed world, what better way to put a human face on someone than to follow them into the bathroom and the jock strap store? :rofl:

You first brought that up on the chat soon after the election! I remember. You had us all in stiches and yes Vector was right.

was probably when it was best in terms of providing information about Kerry. it would provide video, audio ,text, pics etc of almost anything he was doing . it was ok during the GE also. but i understand what you are saying.

remember that abc thing that WEL linked to a while ago where he is getting donuts. little things like that which aren't part of the campaign but just everyday things he would do are so cute. just like that "anti Kerry" film which provided clips of the campaign. it was supposed to be anti Kerry but all the clips of him are just too cute that it's impossible to view him in a negative way.

also, how about opening up the blog again?
