Kerrycrats, what bothers you about Kos???
Edited on Mon Jun-05-06 06:52 PM by demdiva
This weekend while a thread named Kos Convention? was moving along in this forum, I happened upon Kos and Armstrong on Tim Russert's CNBC show discussing Crashing the Gate. True to form, Kos started off talking about the Democratic Party infrastructure that was lacking during 2004. I was just starting to get encouraged that Kos was blaming the Democratic Party for the loss more than JK, when he slipped quickly into self-serving bullshit land.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=273&topic_id=89600&mesg_id=89681

Apparently, DC is one huge bubble and EVERYONE there (and you know he meant our dear JK) is part of the DC establishment. All they care about is Sunday morning talk, going to parties with glamorous people, and keeping their "cushy" jobs with gerrymandering??? WTF. First of all, Kos basically lumped ALL the democrats (except his favs) in with DeLay and the corrput republican crowd. And, second, have you ever BEEN to DC Kos? No one here is glamorous, not even the DemDiva, and certainly not congressmen and Hill staffers.

Didn't YOU know, Kerrycrats, that the ONLY one standing up for US is Kos and his non-DC friends (oh but Russ Feingold doesn't count, because he really doesn't like DC)??? Oh, and secretly, all democrats are united behind what he believes (oh except no one actually votes for Kos' candidates)? But that doesn't matter, because Kos' candidates will certainly take the White House in 2008. Did you know Kerrycrats? How could we have missed this???

I'm SO SICK of Kos' arrogant, snot-nosed, bs and I promised to write a post called the Kos Bubble, because I find it ironic that Kos complains about a DC bubble when he's stuck in a little blogosphere bubble himself. And I have a little writers block (or I did ... I seem to have found a little rage in me), but I could still use some inspiration. What pisses you off about Kos???

1. He's self-serving.
Edited on Mon Jun-05-06 07:28 PM by _dynamicdems
He thinks he knows more than he does.

He will use anyone and anything to get ahead.

He is insincere.

He is arrogant.

Edit: Oh yeah, his stupid comments about trying to start a conversation with Senator Kerry while in the next stall in the men's room. That was really weird.

3. Where to start
- Hypocrite, criticizes the LCV for being single issue voters yet he's the same way with the war.

- Hypocrisy again, criticized and rightfully so Armstrong Williams for taking money to promote No Child Left Behind but he did the same thing with the Dean Campaign.

-0-16, if he were a baseball manager, he would have bene fired a while ago.

-He bashes Washington Democrats than has Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi come to this convention.

- He's made insulting remarks towards women and enviromentalists both.

- His stupid bashing of Kerry

- The ocmment about the contractors in Iraq being beheaded, thikn about thier families you jerk.

- and worst of all he is the face of liberal blogging even though he's not liberal and he's a terrible spokesperson.

11. Well, actually there were two different incidents.
There was the time KOS was next to JK in a men's room stall:
http://www.wonkette.com/politics/daily-kos/catching-john-kerry-with-his-pants-down-161669.php

Q: Have you met John Kerry?

KOS: Only once. I was in a bathroom stall next to him at the Democratic National Convention. I didn’t say hello. It was a private moment for him.

Then there was the time:
"John Kerry and I were urinal neighbors."
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2004/3/27/02619/0371

Uh, great bathroom reporting KOS. Even paraparrazi aren't so low class.

Now, why on earth would the KOS write about one of these incidents never mind two? And how the heck did he get in such proximity of the senator not once but twice? Creepy man. Very sick and twisted.

12. Maybe Kos had toilet-training issues as a toddler?
That would explain a few things... :eyes:

15. LOL! Agreed. KOS sure knows how to stay on message, doesn't he?

He's apparently got a theme going and it is rather reflective of his political viewpoints.

14. ewww...
this reminds me of when the Jack Ryan campaign worker, who was following Obama EVERYWHERE, followed him into the bathroom ... that was the point where Obama (rightfully so, of course) complained to the Jack Ryan campaign. I believe, to their credit, they apologized and put a stop to that after Obama complained.

6. I'm wondering why Russert had them on.
Slow news week? Nobody else available? Just for laughs? The more TV time they get, the more they will convince themselves that they are God's Gift to the Democratic party. :eyes:

8. You know Kos doesn't really bother me that much anymore
I think of him as a platform -- his blog. His blog is bigger than him, and deep down he knows that. That's why he hasn't had one mean spirited Kerry bashing post that I know of since John Kerry debuted on DailyKos in January. Because ultimately, Kos wants more traffic to his blog, which after all pays his mortgage for the bigger house he now lives in because of his blog. And John Kerry's appearance led to a HUGE increase in traffic which led to Kos being able to charge more for ads. He knows who is Sugar Daddy is, so I just don't consider him to be a threat (and, of course, Kerry doesn't abuse his position at dKos, and does write back to people thereby preserving the connectivity aspect of his blog). He's trying to be a pundit, and some of the stuff he says I agree with, but in the end, he's a strategy technology guy. He is NOT an idea guy. And obviously, he's no good at getting people elected. His talents lie with the technology and keeping people coming back for more, which I think dKos does. So there it is.

And, by the way, may I personally thank the Senator from Massachusetts for storming the beaches of Kossaka, so that it could once more be a website safe for democracy. That site has its place but I stopped reading it because of the Kos Kerry bashing. But now it's not the worst place to go if you're a Kerry supporter, because people know that hey -- he might be reading it!!

13. That's what I think
I completely support the idea of his blog and I even like the fact that he's discussing new ideas for getting out a progressive message. What I don't like his the fact is that I think he honestly thinks the entire democratic community agrees with his ideas ... which makes him pretty delusional.

to discredit those he doesn't like simply because he knows he can get away with it.

10. he is a disgusting phony sexist whore
he has a personal agenda against Kerry just like that asshole O'Neill. this is the same motherfucker who spend years going after Kerry for being part of the DLC and went as far as a few months ago declaring a war on the DLC.

but that other whore Armstrong was hired by Mark Warner who is not just a member of the dlc but one of the more moderate to conservative members and very open about.

so all of a sudden he turns around and it's not about the dlc but dc vs non dc. except there are exceptions for Feingold and Reid as they are not like the dc establshment. never mind that Reid is fucking Senate Dem Leader.

he looks like a fucking bitch and he is a total hypocrite and all of his followers are bitches just like him. fuck them all.
