Wow - This group is almost to 90,000 posts

89,851 to be exact (as of right this moment). That's pretty incredible IMO. I've been here for just a little over a year, and I have to say this group is my island of sanity. In that length of time I've met people I would never have had the opportunity to meet otherwise.

It is indeed a pleasure to hang out with the sane people here. And my goodness gracious have we ever come a long way in a year and a half. Wow! (Dr. Seuss was right, Oh the places you'll go!)

recognition from the owners of this site for most active forum. I don't know what else we should do, but I think we've got something special going on here and it does deserve a kudos.

It would be great if we could hit 100K for July 4th holiday, but that doesn't look very possible.

A members area would be great, but there still isn't a site yet.

The Kerrycrats site is still just a holder page. I was hoping for some volunteers to work on designing the site, or even writing a mission statememt, but I think folks have been too busy lately. Fending off the attacks in DU has become a full-time job, sad to say.

I have a selection of free message boards, blogs, chat rooms, polls and a lot of other php scripts included with the Web hosting I use. I'm not technical so mostly these go untapped. I'm good with html, FrontPage and Photoshop and can manipulate a javascript, but I don't have experience with php. I do own flash software I haven't used/played with it yet. It would be terrific to get this all up and running.

I like the idea of a personal story site, where people get to share why they support the senator and what it means to be a Kerrycrat.

If anyone wants to jump in (even takeover as Web master) please let me know. Or if you just want to write a mission statement, please do. Post it for everyone to read and add to. Kerrycrats can't be a personal site: it has to be a group venture.

I've been working on a couple of projects that have taken much of my time, but I'm finally making some headway in one of the projects at least.

The best discussions of meny issues that I've seen on DU are here. I'm also so happy that I met several of the people here in Boston in April.
