They even tried to manufacture an intern scandal and pissed off the father of the woman they smeared with it - who previously disliked Kerry for his policies - so much that he voted for Kerry.

I love this. Not only did the dirty tricks backfire, they backfired in the most spectacular way possible. I wonder if the dad happened to meet with Kerry personally, after the fact? Would've sealed the deal.

Besides, it should have been EEEAAAAASY to pull off a steamy, salacious Kerry intern scandal! EEEAAASY. You know what Kerry does to US! How the tension is palpable.

15. The woman's article in New York magazine
said that he was impressed with the way that Kerry and his people handled it. (consider how any of the Clinton rumours were handled - the first step was to attack the woman.) Apparently the Kerry people realized she was also a victim and acted very responsibly protecting both Kerry and the woman.
