nice article in the Milwaukee Journal today--with catnip
Re: the Kerry-Feingold amendment.

http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=440828

Some nice quotes from both men, and a little window into the relationship between the two. Some snark from Norm Ornstein--but never mind him.

Kerry on Feingold: "He's very smart and he's very capable, and we have a good working relationship."

Feingold on Kerry: "If you told me a year ago John Kerry would have been one of the (amendment's) sponsors, I would have been surprised. I was pleased to partner with a very prominent senator who was our standard-bearer" in the 2004 presidential campaign.

(snip)

Kerry: "We have people to serve and issues to work for around here, and if you can't get together, you don't deserve to run for president."

Feingold: "I'm just trying to advance this issue. Whether I run for president or he does is irrelevant."

1. The reporter couldn't find pundits like McLaughlin group to say Dems WON
the week because of the withdrawal timeline?

Anyone write to this "reporter" and fill her in with a few facts?

2. I almost fell of my chair
when McLaughlin said that.

I think the show is HUGELY improved by the presence of Lawrence O'Donnell. He keeps the group on a more even keel.

3. is he a regular now?
If so, I'll watch it again, just because of him. It's on Saturday nights here, so I can still catch this week's.

4. Fill me in here - I have never watched the show
What station broadcasts it? And when is it usually on?

I too am a Lawrence O'Donnell fan.

7. some get it on Friday, some on Saturday
so look for it both days on PBS. There are two shows with similar names, actually: "The McLaughlin Group" which is five people discussing the political week, and the "John McLaughlin One-on-One", where he just interviews one guest.
