Lamont Quote about Kerry-Feingold Amendment
I'm so excited! I have a Kerry-related bit of news that hasn't been posted here yet! I mean, it's nothing earth shattering or anything, but it's the first time I found something I can post, so you have to celebrate with me.

This is from a http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/politics/july-dec06/lamont_08-09.html">PBS interview of Ned Lamont:

GWEN IFILL: Do you think the voters are telling people in Washington to pull out of Iraq right away or eventually?

NED LAMONT: What I've said was I think the Kerry-Feingold amendment made sense. They said: Look, over the course of the next year, let's bring our troops home. Let's let the Iraqis step up. Let's have them take responsibility for their own defense.


Sounds like a good idea to me. That JK--he's sure a smart guy. He oughtta...I dunno, run for president or something. :)

He was on nerfball earlier and I thought his Iraq plan sounded like Kerry-Feingold but I didn't know he had ever associated himself with it directly. You know, if Lieberman does run it could actually work to the non-centrist Dem advantage because there would be more focus on Lamont and he seems to be a pretty decent spokesperson for a common sense Dem message. Howard had a tendency to run with whatever the blogs said and that was a BIG mistake but I don't think Lamont has been doing that so far. If he keeps his head about him, he could be a real asset.
