Levittown, PA – In yet another political ploy, Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick (PA-08) announced earlier this week that he no longer supports the president’s “stay the course” strategy in Iraq. Yet, the Congressman “offers no new strategy” (Bucks County Courier Times, Aug. 9 editorial). Senator John F. Kerry (D-MA), and Patrick Murphy, former Captain in the U.S. Army, Iraq War Veteran and Democratic Candidate for Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District will hold a press conference call TOMORROW, Friday, August 11, at 10:30AM EDT, to discuss the serious consequences of Mike Fitzpatrick’s lack of a position on Iraq and the necessity to refocus our efforts on the real terrorist threat, Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda.
