Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

3. It's beautiful - thank you for posting it.
The prayers to Our Lady are surely amongst the most beautiful.

The "Memorare" of St Bernard is a favorite of mine, and I carry it
with me.

4. quick story for you
I learned to say the rosary in Irish in '03 for Lent. Just before my trip to Ireland, I met a woman who told me she had been at the deathbed of an Irish language teacher earlier that summer, a man originally from Limerick. Almost without thinking, I told her I would say a decade for the repose of his soul in Irish when I got to Ireland. So the first stop we made after we left Shannon airpost was an old church by the bridge in Limerick.

It felt like a blessing on the whole trip, starting out that way.

Sé do bheatha, a Mhuire,
Atá lán de ghrásta,
Tá an Tiarna leat.
Is beannaithe thú idir mná
Agus is beannaithe toradh do bhroinne, Íosa.

A Naomh Mhuire, a mháthair Dé,
Guigh orainn, na peacaigh,
Anois agus ar uair ár mbáis. Amen.

6. That's a lovely story, Maeve.

I have no idea how to pronounce the Gaelic, LOL, but a lovely story nonetheless.

7. Okay, let's see if I can make it pronounceable
Shay doe wah-ha, ah Worr-zya

Ah-tah lon duh Grahsta (sort of a gutteral "g")

Tah ahn tear-nah latt..

Is benny who i-der mm-nah

Ah-gus is benny tor-uh duh vro-nuh, Ee-suh.

Ah neev Worr-zya, a wha-her Day ("D" is almost a "J" sound)

Gwee or-an, nah peck-ee

Ahn-ish, ah-gus ah or ah mash.

(accents on the first syllables)

My darling mother-in-law passed away unexpectedly in mid-November. She loved the Virgin Mary, and was buried with a figure of the Virgin in her coffin. We chose a burial plot which was overlooked by the most beautiful statue in the cemetery, a life-size statue of the Virgin.

My mother-in-law exemplified all of Mary's most wonderful qualities. God bless her. I miss her.

Those are tears of joy for her love of the Virgin.

13. May she rest in the peace of our Lord. Amen

I'm very sorry for your recent loss.

I lost my dear mother-in-law in 1996 and I still miss her. It's a blessing to have had a good mother-in-law, isn't it? So many aren't as fortunate in the matter of in-laws.

15. Yes, it is a blessing. She was a very loving woman. I have her to thank
for the fact that my husband is a well-adjusted, kind, considerate man. Not only do I love her, I admire her and respect her.

I hope she is at peace in the arms of God.

Ave Maria Gratia plena
Maria Gratia plena
Maria Gratia plena
Ave, ave dominus
Dominus tecum

Benedicta tu in mulieribus
Et benedictus
Et benedictus fructus ventris
Ventris tui Jesus

Ave Maria
Ave Maria Mater dei
Ora pro nobis pecatoribus
Ora, ora pro nobis
Ora ora pro nobis pecatoribus

Nunc et in hora mortis
In hora mortis, mortis nostrae
In hora mortis nostrae
Ave Maria!
