Not getting better, so I'm off to day treatment (again)
I went to the therapist today. She could tell things were not getting much better. So, starting next Friday, I'm off to day treatment for a couple weeks. It's a different program from the one I went to last year, and I have no clue about it, but the therapist recommended it, so we'll see.

The psychiatrist tweaked my meds a bit Monday, and things are a little better, but I'm still pretty depressed. I sleep a lot (but not well), I rarely get out of bed by noon, and haven't worked more than four hours a day in a few weeks.

Hopefully this will work. Otherwise it's probably off to the hospital. :(

1. You sound just like me. Today, some window in the Universe
allowed me to go get air in a low tire and go to the grocery store.

We need more WINDOWS around here.

2. oh HELL YEAH, I know exactly what you mean
Today, I got to work for a couple hours, then to the therapist, then briefly to the store, then home.

My girlfriend came over tonight and we watched videos. She just left (didn't want to stay over :( ) and here I am, exhausted.

At this point, I'd even take a peephole. :)

3. I hang onto the things I love, like DU.
Like my puppy and these too many whining cats from hell, my beach walks and the beach grasses that look like Martians planted them. If they can hang in there with me, I'll hang in there with them. Some days, my grip is better than others but, this is Earth.

4. Indeed! I've become much closer to my cats
I think they really like having me around, even though I'm in bed during their prime sleep-on-the-bed time. At least they're not so lonely during the day. :dunce:

6. Thanks for your concern
Hopefully I'll make it to work for a few hours tomorrow. My mom took me out for lunch today, which was good. She offered to pay my rent for a few months which is a big relief. That should take some of the financial pressure off for awhile.

7. An update
I went to the intake appointment today. The program itself sounds pretty good, and it will be a pretty small group of about four people. The counselor leading it has a good background and a PsyD and definitely seems like a good guy.

We adjusted my meds a bit last week, but I'm still having some issues, mostly physical: sore joints, digestive problems, headaches, and now lithium tremors, even though I reduced my dosage of lithium. I'm still exhausted all the time and haven't gotten any exercise in a week because I'm just too fatigued. At least I'm still able to get to work for a couple hours most days.

This sucks.

9. Usually I feel it in 2-4 weeks
It's been about ten days so far, so I may get some benefit from it soon. Yesterday, they told me I could up the lithium if I wanted to, but since I'm feeling pretty low I thought it would be a bad idea right now.

The sad part is, I got offered a gig for Friday July 20th at a local coffee house. It's just for tips but it's playing out again, which I haven't been able to do in almost a decade. I want to do it, but right now I have no urge to even look at a guitar, much less play it and/or sing. I may take it just to give myself something to look forward to. Something has to change, soon, because I can't take much more of this.

10. How long do you have to book it or not?
Stage time, a good thing. :)

"Something has to change." I'm right there with you. I've never been great at Limbo, and that's what this feels like, has felt like for months. :(

11. I have until 6:00 tonight
but I think I'm going to skip it for now. I have another confirmed date at the same place on Aug 3, and I don't need anything else to worry about right now.

And you're right about Limbo. Right now it's just existence. I have no energy or will anymore. :(

12. I know. This stuff can be so disheartening, debilitating.

:(

But, but, it's early days yet to see what the last adjustment will do, is that right? I ask because I've seen Doug go from being in bed for weeks to having a life as a result of a good adjustment.

Take care of you, no name no slogan. And keep us posted.
