Magic for grown-ups
http://www.denverpost.com/search/ci_2849760/ci_2852219

While millions of children are under Harry Potter's spell, even more adults have fallen prey to the enchantment of the teenage wizard's wand.

And although some young Potter buffs are content to buy memorabilia and reread the books as they wait for the release of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" at midnight Friday, these adults take fandom to a new level - engaging in online discussions about the moral ambiguity of J.K. Rowling's series, going to weekend conventions where quidditch matches are acted out, and writing novel-length fan fiction based on the first five books.

How many grown-ups are spellbound by Rowling's magical world? At last count, the yahoo.com meet-up group Harry Potter for Grown-ups had 17,589 members and an average of 60 posts a day. In comparison, one of the most active "Lord of the Rings" groups on yahoo.com has 1,246 participants.

1. How about these apples, in the book store today
and two fully grown intelligent store clerks spoke to me about their excitement with Harry Potter. They confessed to having the books in the back and yes they had read them!

I said they would have a Sirius/Cedric like death if they spilled the beans. They were hilarious. They give it great reviews... they were saying they could not believe the next one is the last one...They loved the Half Blood Prince!

Yes, I am a responsible adult with family and friends &
I CAN'T WAIT AND I LOVE HARRY POTTER! :bounce:

2. I like the undercurrents of philosophy....
It's such a full world, where there are things like moral ambiguity and ethical dilemmas.

And after reading the article, I really want to read/hear some of those papers/presentations. I'd love to know more about the economics of the wizarding world.
