Has anybody read the Harry Potter Hogwarts School books?

I just ordered them from Amazon because I want to know what a kneazle is and I'm interested in the history of Quidditch.

http://www.hp-lexicon.org/index-2.html This will answer many questions. Here is a great place to get answers to the most comprehensive Potter data. The books you ordered are considered Potter Cannon as they are written by JKR for the very reason you purchased them. (Like your books, mine are on the way too...):)

3. They're pretty cute.

I especially like the notes "written" in the margins. They're supposed to be books that Harry and Ron are sharing, so there's doodles, etc, and every now and then Hermione's handwriting appears telling them to knock it off and pay attention. :)
