5. This is the only thread I've ever asked to be closed...

...and it was mid-evening in my time zone.

There's no need for you to have to handle this all yourself. Although I'm not all that familiar with the mod structure here, shouldn't there be several watching the board throughout most of the day? I know there's at least one mod out here on the west coast, so I would expect they'd be "on call" at least through the evening in the Pacific zone.

6. There's mods around all the time.

But sometimes it's feeding time at the zoo, and 'non-critical' stuff (like your alert) falls between the cracks.. . . I'm a) a morning person and b) on the East Coast.

I can ask the night mods to keep an eye out for your alerts. We should be able to figure out a way to get your threads locked in a reasonable period of time.
